    摘要: The invention relates to an unbalance type exciter (6) for a soil compaction device. This exciter comprises a carrying structure (5) as well as an unbalance weight (8, 9), which by means of a bearing (11a, 11b) is supported at the carrying structure (5) in rotatable manner around a rotation axis (Y) which in the intended use is stationary with respect to the carrying structure (5), for generating an intermittent exciting force for causing the carrying structure (5) in the intended use to vibrate. The bearing (11a, 11b) of the unbalance weight (8, 9) is arranged at least partially within the space which is circled by the unbalance weight (8, 9) when rotating around the rotation axis (y). Owing to the fact that this space is used for receiving at least part of the bearing of the unbalance weight (8, 9) it becomes possible to provide unbalance type exciters (6) having very small axial overall length.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an improved downhole seismic source for the simultaneous generation of elliptically polarized shear wave seismic energy and compression wave seismic energy coupled into a borehole. The source of the present invention is capable of receiving several kilowatts of energy downhole to depths of several thousand feet. An orbital vibrator, energized by a hydraulic power means is disposed within a housing. The orbital vibrator imparts an orbital motion which generates seismic wave energy in the borehole. A cable supports the hydraulic power means and the orbital vibrator at selected positions along the borehole for coupling of the seismic wave energy into the borehole.

    摘要: An acoustic sound source designed to impart vibratory energy into its surrounding environment by linearly displacing transducer face plate(s) that are coupled to a rotary motor via crankshaft/connecting rod(s) or camshaft(s). The frequency of the vibrational energy is proportional to the speed of the rotary motor and the amplitude of the vibrational energy is proportional to the linear displacement of the transducer faceplates. The motor can be manually or automatically controlled to operate at a fixed speed and/or a variety of time varying speeds such as frequency sweeps or ramps. The linear displacement or amplitude of the transducer faceplates can also be manually or automatically controlled to operate at a fixed displacement or to have the displacement vary with time and/or frequency.

    摘要: A seismic source of the present disclosure includes a first rotation member and a second rotation member having a common axis of rotation and rotated at a same rotational rate in mutually opposite directions. In addition, the seismic source may include a first mass that is eccentrically coupled to the first rotation member and rotates along with the first rotation member. A second mass may be eccentrically coupled to the second rotation member and configured to rotate along with that member. The second mass may be configured such that the center of gravity of the second mass is located radially external to the center of gravity of the first mass relative to the common axis of rotation. The center of gravities of the first and second mass may be located at the same location along a length of the common axis of rotation.
