    摘要: Seismic data representing the propagation of seismic energy through a geologic volume of interest is processed. The seismic energy propagates through the geologic volume of interest from one or more source locations at or near the geologic volume of interest to one or more detector locations at or near the geologic volume of interest. In processing the seismic data, the seismic energy is modeled as beams (e.g., Gaussian beams). The processing includes determining a filter for the seismic data that attenuates aliasing which may be present in the seismic data due to spacing between detector locations.

    摘要: Time-invariant multichannel seismic data filters are applied to seismic data traces for rejecting coherent noise signals within a time-space window. In one embodiment, these filters are applied for rejecting all signals having the same trace-to-trace slopes as the coherent noise signal. Segments of the filtered traces that are within the time-space window are added to corresponding segments of unfiltered traces outside of the time window for producing reconstituted time-variantly filtered traces. In another embodiment, these filters are applied for rejecting the coherent noise signals and passing all other signals within the time-space window and passing all signals outside of the window for producing time-variantly filtered traces.

    摘要: A method for use in seismic exploration comprises: accessing a set of seismic data representative of a subterranean geological formation and a subsurface attribute model of the subterranean geological formation; performing a wavefield extrapolation on the seismic data in the subsurface attribute model; applying the time-shift extended imaging condition to the extrapolated wavefields; forming shot-indexed, time shift gathers for each image pixel of the subsurface attribute model from the conditioned extrapolated wavefields; adaptively focusing the gathers; and stacking the adaptively focused gathers; and imaging the subterranean geological formation from the stacked, adaptively focused gathers. The method may, in some aspects, be realized by a computing apparatus programmed to perform the method or as a set of instructions encoded on a non-transitory program storage medium that, when executed by a computing apparatus, perform the method.

    摘要: In dual-sensor, bottom-cable marine seismic exploration where hydrophone/geophone pairs are deployed on the marine bottom, coupling imperfections between the geophones and the marine bottom contribute to differences between the impulse response of the geophones and the impulse response of the hydrophones. To correct for the coupling imperfection, a filter is designed which compensates for the inherent impulse response differences as well as response differences caused by the imperfect coupling. Preferably, the filter is designed using a calibration procedure prior to production shooting. First, the response of a hydrophone and geophone to a seismic wave is recorded. Then, these recorded responses are transformed into the frequency domain. Once transformed, the response of the hydrophone is divided by the response of the geophone to produce a filtering function. When the filtering function is applied to geophone signals during production shooting, the filter compensates the geophone signals to alleviate differences in response characteristics between the geophone signals and the hydrophone signals.
