摘要: Processes and systems for imaging a subterranean formation using continuously recorded seismic data obtained during a marine seismic geophysical survey of the subterranean formation are described herein. The processes and systems compute upgoing pressure data at stationary-receiver locations, and low-frequency noise attenuation processes and systems are applied to the upgoing pressure wavefield data to obtain low-frequency noise attenuated upgoing pressure wavefield data. An image of the subterranean formation, or data indicative thereof, may be generated using the low-frequency noise attenuated upgoing pressure wavefield data at stationary-receiver locations.

The memory stores a program that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to calculate a pressure response of a first sensor, and correct pressure wavefield data obtained from the first sensor responsive to a first acoustic wavefield. The correction is based on the calculated pressure response of the first sensor. The pressure response of the first sensor is responsive to a second acoustic wavefield having a propagation path between a source of the second acoustic wavefield and the first sensor, in which the propagation path includes no reflection from a subsurface formation.

摘要: This disclosure is directed to methods and systems to evaluate noise contend of seismic data received during a marine survey. The seismic data includes pressure and particle motion data generated by collocated pressure and particle motion sensors of a seismic data acquisition system. The pressure and particle motion data are cross ghosted and temporal and spatial wavelet transforms are applied to the cross-ghosted pressure and particle motion data in order to compute pressure energies and particle motion energies in temporal and spatial scales of a temporal and spatial scale domain. The pressure and particle motion energies may be compared to evaluate noise content in the pressure and particle motion data, evaluate changes in the noise content during the marine survey, and adjust marine survey parameters to reduce the noise content.

The method further includes the steps of conditioning the seismic dataset and estimating a model of the multiple data in the conditioned seismic dataset based on a user-defined parameter to derive a primary data set. Further, the method includes the steps of computing a velocity model from the primary data set using the user-defined parameter and updating the estimated multiple model based at least on a modification of the user-defined parameter. In addition, the method includes the steps of recomputing the primary data and the velocity model based on the modified user-defined parameter and generating an image of the primary data.
