    摘要: A mixing unit for a mixer tap has a first intake for a first incoming stream, and a second intake for a second incoming stream. The mixing unit mixes the first and second incoming streams in order to form an output stream, and has an outlet for the output stream. A thermostat includes a heat-sensitive portion and a translationally movable portion along an axis. A seal of the second intake is connected to the movable portion. A recess connects the outlet with the second intake and housing and is sealed by the heat-sensitive portion and the translationally movable portion. The outlet has an abutment to restrain the translational movement of the heat-sensitive portion along the axis, in a direction parallel to the axis and opposite to the seal. The abutment limits the movement of the heat-sensitive portion and the translationally movable portion outside of the recess to avoid breaking the tight seal.

    摘要: A hot water heater includes a hot water tank having a cold water inlet line and a hot water outlet line, an electronically controlled mixing valve fluid coupled to the cold water inlet line and the hot water outlet line and mixed output line and a controller operatively coupled to the mixing valve. A temperature sensor is operatively coupled to the mixed output line and the controller, the controller being operative in response to the sensor to detect a temperature of the water in the mixed output line, compare a setpoint temperature to the detected temperature of the water in the mixed output line, and regulate a flow of one or both of cold water from the cold water input line and hot water from the hot water output line through the electronically controlled mixing valve to maintain the detected temperature at the setpoint temperature.

[Also in Divisions F2 and F4] In a heating and cooling system, a heat exchanger (not shown) is supplied through one flow pipe, with heating fluid or through another flow pipe with cooling fluid as necessary, under the control of a thermostatic valve unit 1. The heat exchanger may for example be located in a room the temperature of which is to be controlled. The valve unit shown comprises two valves 5, 7 separately actuated by bellows 23, 24 respectively located in interconnected chambers 21, 22 containing the operating fluid and connected to a feeler probe 25 located in the room. The valve chambers 2, 3 connect with a common port (shown diagrammatically at 10) leading to the heat exchanger. Chamber 2 is connected with a flow pipe 8 for cooling medium and chamber 3 with a flow pipe 9 for heating medium. Simultaneous adjustment of the valves is by a screw 14, or other device which moves a cross-bar 15 to alter the tension of springs 16, 17. When the room is at the desired temperature both valves are closed. Should this temperature rise, the consequent increase in vapour pressure in the chambers 21, 22 tends to compress both bellows 23,24 but the construction is such that only the valve 5 can open thus permitting flow of coolant from the pipe 8 to the port 10 and to the heat exchanger (as in the position shown), until the room temperature falls sufficiently to allow valve 5 to close. When the room temperature falls below the desired value, the vapour pressure in the chambers 21, 22 is reduced but the arrangement then allows only the bellows 24 to expand with consequent opening of valve 7 to allow heating fluid to flow from pipe 8 to the port 10.
