    摘要: A positioning control method and apparatus in which a fine movement mechanism is moved without exceeding a movable area so that positioning of a large amount of displacement can be attained with high accuracy and high-speed positioning from a point to a point with the same control method. A coarse movement mechanism (101) has a large amount of movement and low positioning accuracy and a fine movement mechanism (102) on the coarse movement mechanism has a small amount of movement and high positioning accuracy. A signal E4 based on a error signal C4 of a movement command signal A4 of a signal generator (104) and a displacement signal B4 representative of a displacement of an object to be positioned with respect to a fixed position detected by an absolute position detecting device (105) is supplied to the fine movement mechanism and a coarse movement command signal M4, produced by adding a signal representative of a relative displacement of the fine movement mechanism (102) with respect to the coarse movement mechanism (101) detected by a relative position detecting device (133) to the error signal C4, is supplied to the coarse movement mechanism (101) to thereby control respective movements.

    摘要: Dual-synchro coarse and fine error signals definitive of the discrepancy between a selected condition and that being experienced are converted by static means to a linear DC control signal. Linearization means implementing the control function 1 cos theta + sin theta are employed as concerns the fine error analog input signal, and the coarse error analog input signal is employed for switching functions which occur only at zero error and control extremes, thus obviating control discontinuities, transients, and sudden changes in control linearity.

    摘要: This disclosure deals with a mechanical servo system used to provide accurate digital readout from binary-coded decimal input. The input data is divided into a coarse portion and a fine portion. The coarse feedback portion measures in units of 1,000 feet, while the fine feedback control measures the low order units and consists of two cyclical elements. Each fine element has occasion to pass through a dead band region, but the elements are connected in a ganged relation 180* out of phase, so that when one is at its dead band, the other is at its continuous portion. The selection of a fine feedback element is controlled through a switching circuit and according to a logic equation stored in the input unit.
