摘要: An improved system and method for reflecting light includes a first light conduit and a first light source. The first light conduit has a first opening at a first end, a second opening at a second end opposite the first end, and a side opening between the first opening and the second opening. The first light source outputs a first light that initially enters the first light conduit through the side opening, reflects off the first light conduit, and exits the first light conduit through the first opening, where a second light exits the first light conduit through the second opening. The second light may be provided by a second light source that output the second light that initially enters the first light conduit through a second side opening.

摘要: A system, method, and computer program for monitoring and corrupting a data stream, includes a data stream transmitting device having a barcode scanner that transmits a stream of data corresponding to a scanned barcode; a data stream receiver device having a barcode processing system that receives the stream; and a monitoring and corrupting device coupled therebetween having a database storing rules for detecting and corrupting patterns of data in the stream, and which monitors the stream, and based on the rules determines if the stream is unwanted, and if so corrupts the stream and transmits the corrupted stream to the barcode processing system so that the barcode data stream cannot be correctly received by the data stream receiver device. Otherwise, if the stream of data is wanted, the stream of data is allowed to be correctly received by the data stream receiver device.

The method further includes acquiring a 2D barcode including an information access address and scanning the 2D barcode to obtain the information access address included in the 2D barcode, the information access address being for accessing private information. The method further includes sending the information access address to a server through a network, and receiving the private information returned through the network by the server, and using the private information as a reading result of the 2D barcode.

摘要: A method of accessing equipment status information in a data center includes detecting, by a mobile computing device, a fiduciary marker within at least one image captured by an image capture device, decoding the equipment identification data from the fiduciary marker, providing the equipment identification data to a data center management system for the data center through a communications network, receiving status information for the piece of equipment from the data center management system through the communication network, and displaying the status information on a display screen of the mobile computing device. The fiduciary marker is configured to contain encoded equipment identification data associated with a piece of equipment.

摘要: A barcode-reading system may include a barcode-reading enhancement accessory that is securable to a mobile device. The accessory may include an optic system that is configured to shape and filter illumination from a white light source of the mobile device to project targeting illumination onto a target surface. Calibration data may indicate a relationship between surface distance and at least one feature offset of the targeting illumination. A barcode-reading application may determine a feature offset of the targeting illumination in an image that is captured by the camera assembly of the mobile device. The application may also determine an estimated surface distance based on the calibration data and the feature offset. The application may also use the estimated surface distance to adjust at least one operating parameter of the mobile device.

摘要: Mobile phones and other portable devices are equipped with a variety of technologies by which existing functionality can be improved, and new functionality can be provided. Some aspects relate to visual search capabilities, and determining appropriate actions responsive to different image inputs. Others relate to processing of image data. Still others concern metadata generation, processing, and representation. Yet others concern user interface improvements. Other aspects relate to imaging architectures, in which a mobile phone's image sensor is one in a chain of stages that successively act on packetized instructions/data, to capture and later process imagery. Still other aspects relate to distribution of processing tasks between the mobile device and remote resources (“the cloud”). Elemental image processing (e.g., simple filtering and edge detection) can be performed on the mobile phone, while other operations can be referred out to remote service providers. The remote service providers can be selected using techniques such as reverse auctions, through which they compete for processing tasks. The processor is operable to execute instructions that cause the image device to scan a visual code, read a yaw angle from the visual code, cause the e-compass to obtain magnetic field measurements, estimate a yaw angle based on the magnetic field measurements, compare the yaw angle read from the visual code and the estimated yaw angle to determine a quality factor; and determine whether the e-compass is calibrated based at least partially upon the quality factor.

In some implementations, the wearable medical item comprises a backup telephone number for obtaining medical information related to a wearer of the medical item and a security code and/or patient ID. Upon receiving a telephone call at the backup telephone number and receiving the security code and/or the patient ID and validation of the security code and/or the patient ID, medical information related to the wearer of the wearable medical item may be received, which may provide for a backup way of obtaining the medical information in the event that a first responder or other person accessing the wearable item cannot scan the QR code.

The method is adapted for a first electronic apparatus to perform a file transmission operation with a second electronic apparatus. The substrate and/or said wireless device is frangible.
