    摘要: The present invention relates to nonlinear signal processing, and, in particular, to adaptive nonlinear filtering of real-, complex-, and vector-valued signals utilizing analog Nonlinear Differential Limiters (NDLs), and to adaptive real-time signal conditioning, processing, analysis, quantification, comparison, and control. More generally, this invention relates to methods, processes and apparatus for real-time measuring and analysis of variables, and to generic measurement systems and processes. This invention also relates to methods and corresponding apparatus for measuring which extend to different applications and provide results other than instantaneous values of variables. The invention further relates to post-processing analysis of measured variables and to statistical analysis. The NDL-based filtering method and apparatus enable improvements in the overall properties of electronic devices including, but not limited to, improvements in performance, reduction in size, weight, cost, and power consumption, and, in particular for wireless devices, NDLs enable improvements in spectrum usage efficiency.

    摘要: A signal processor for detecting the presence of two signals whose over-all phase or frequency is related by a known rational number. The first signal of frequency .omega.M is raised to the N.sup.th power, while the second signal of frequency .omega.N is raised to the M.sup.th power. The two raised signals are then correlated, energy detected, and compared against a predetermined threshold to provide an indication when both signals are present. By utilizing the known frequency relationship between the two signals the processor yields enhanced detection performance over that achievable by detection of each signal separately.

    摘要: The method consists of deriving a coherence measure from selected related traces of a seismic cross-section, and thereafter weighting individual or selected ones of the seismic traces in accordance with such time-analogue coherence quotient. Apparatus for carrying out the method may consist of structure for imposing predetermined delay between each pair of a group of selected seismic traces with subsequent summation, multiplication and integration over a time period to provide a first integrated output; and each trace pair is then subjected to one or more other predetermined, different delays with respective outputs applied to the multiplier and integrator circuitry thereby to generate additional integrated outputs. All integrated outputs for each trace pair are then applied through sample and hold circuitry to select a time-varying maximum voltage signal for output as a coherence quotient signal. Thereafter, the coherence quotient signals for each trace pair are combined to form a signal of time-varying character which is employed to control signal gain through duration of selected seismic trace signals thereby to selectively allow passage or to suppress in varying degrees the final output signal indications.

    摘要: Seismic traces are weighted and stacked to produce an estimated output trace having improved signal-to-noise ratio. Those traces having the highest signal-to-noise ratio are weighted more heavily. The weights for each trace are determined from a detection of the signal between the estimated output trace and each of the seismic traces. The procedure is iterated so that the signal-to-noise ratio of the estimated output trace is progressively improved by recomputing the weights of the individual traces on each pass.
