摘要： Provided is an image forming system that reduce a paper jam. The system includes an image forming apparatus and a server to manage the image forming apparatus. A paper jam information receiving part in the server receives paper jam information transmitted from the image forming apparatus. A paper jam information analyzing part analyzes paper jam information. A paper jam information analyzing part generates feed-setting changing information when the feed number of the recording paper in the paper feed source where the paper jam occurred corresponds to a threshold and another paper feed source with same settings of a recording paper is present. Feed-setting changing information is information instructed to change into the respective paper feed source. A feed-setting changing information transmitting part transmits feed-setting changing information to the image forming apparatus.

摘要： A method and print system for stopping the print system are disclosed. The print system includes a control unit for controlling the printing of sheets, a print engine for printing recording material on the sheets, an input tray for holding sheets to be printed upon, and a finishing unit. The method includes scheduling printing and finishing of a plurality of sheets, including sending a sheet request from the control unit to the finishing unit, and upon receiving the sheet request, the finishing unit provides an earliest expected arrival time of a sheet at the finishing unit to the control unit. When this time is too huge, operator intervention is required and the finishing unit reports an error to the control unit, after a previous sheet has been deposited in the finishing unit, and the control units stops the print engine before the sheet leaves the input tray.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an internal device that executes a job, a controller, a user management unit, a lock requesting unit, and an unlock requesting unit. The controller suspends the execution of the job when the controller detects a predetermined failure in the internal device during the execution of the job, and resumes the suspended job or starts execution of a next job when the controller detects an elimination of the failure. The user management unit specifies identification information of a user mobile device associated with a user. The lock requesting unit transmits a lock request with the identification information to a predetermined server when the controller has suspended the job. The unlock requesting unit transmits an unlock request with the identification information to the predetermined server when the controller has resumed the suspended job or when the controller has started the execution of the next job.

摘要： An image forming apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: a printing unit configured to perform printing on a recording medium; a multiple-sheet-feed detecting unit configured to detect a multiple sheet feed of the recording medium; an image holding unit configured to hold an image expected to print on the recording medium on which the multiple sheet feed is detected (i.e. the multi-fed medium); and a print control unit configured to control the printing unit. The print control unit is further configured (a) to cancel printing on the multi-fed medium, and (b) to cause the printing unit to print the held image on another recording medium, which (b1) is in transfer after the multi-fed medium, (b2) is nearest in a transferring order to the multi-fed medium, and (b3) has a property same as that of the multi-fed medium.

摘要： Sheet media jams are detected along a media transport path by one or more vibration sensors that capture mechanical movements of components along the path that interact with the sheet media for driving or guiding the sheet media along the transport path. The detected vibrations during the advancing of the sheets are analyzed for distinguishing between detected vibrations associated with normal handling of the sheets and detected vibrations associated with abnormal handling of the sheets. An error condition can be signaled to a control system in response to distinguishing the detected vibrations associated with the abnormal handling of the sheets.

摘要： A jam detection section detects a sheet jam on a conveyance path based on results of detection by a sheet detection sensor. A printing stop section stops an image formation operation upon the sheet jam detection by the sheet jam detection section. Upon detection of completion of an operation of resolving the sheet jam by a user by a resolving operation detection section, a sheet breakage confirmation section judges, for the sheet taken out from the conveyance path by the user in the operation of resolving the sheet jam and then loaded on a document stand, whether or not there is any sheet lacking portion, based on image data generated by an image reading section. The stopping release section, upon judgment by the sheet breakage confirmation section that there is no sheet lacking portion, permits execution of image formation.
