摘要: Described herein is a system and method for the continuous operation of an RFID communication system in a user-friendly manner and to ensure the reliability thereof in a cost-effective manner by uploading and storing configuration data from each active reader into a memory of the management system. A control unit polls an activity status for each active reader at regular time intervals. In the event of an active reader failing, the control unit identifies the failed reader, loads the configuration data for the failed reader from a memory into a specified inactive reader, and activates the specified inactive reader in place of the failed reader to identify the at least one RFID transponder.

摘要: The present invention discloses a system and accompanying method for directing the movement of an object on an interactive surface through a defined path. The system includes an object embedded with a unique identification code (UID), a movement module, and a distinct pattern of capacitive tabs near the surface of the object that makes contact with the interactive surface, an interactive surface configured to recognize the UID, location and orientation information of an object placed on the interactive surface, and a processor operatively linked to the interactive surface and configured to direct, track and correct the movement of the object along a defined path on the interactive surface by tracking the UID, location and orientation of the object continuously and throughout the movement. A centralized control mode is applied in the present invention, which makes the structure of the electronic hardware within the moving object substantially simplified, which leads to a decreased manufacturing cost, and, from an aesthetic point of view, the logic clearer and easily understood.

摘要: An RFID tag includes a base part, a loop antenna around the base part including a first antenna element and a second antenna element, and a loop-length shorter than a wavelength of a resonant frequency, and an IC chip at a first surface side of the base part. The IC chip is connected between a first terminal disposed on a first end of the first antenna element and a second terminal disposed on a first end of the second antenna element. The loop antenna includes an overlapping part at a second surface side of the base part, and a capacitance of the overlapping part is adjusted such that a difference between an imaginary component of a first synthetic impedance and an imaginary component of a second synthetic impedance is less than or equal to a predetermined value.
