Described herein are systems, methods, and instrumentalities associated with automatically generating and/or augmenting labeled mammography training data, and training a deep learn model based on the auto-generated/augmented data for detecting a breast disease (e.g., breast cancer) in a mammography image.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a cone beam computed tomography apparatus for reducing artefacts in an image acquired with the cone beam computed tomography apparatus using a second pass artefact reduction method. Projection data of an object are acquired, wherein the projection data comprises a first subset of data to be used for reconstruction of a first image, and a second subset of data comprising projection data not to be used for the construction of the first image, wherein the second subset of data comprises projection data not comprised in the first subset of data. A first and a second image are reconstructed using the first and the second subset of data, respectively. A second pass artefact reduction method is performed using the second image as input image of the second pass artefact reduction method, thereby reducing artefacts in the first image.

摘要: Methods and systems for identifying a region of interest in breast tissue use artificial intelligence to confirm that a target lesion identified during initial imaging the breast tissue has been identified in a subsequent imaging session. A computing system operating a lesion matching engine uses a machine learning classifier algorithm trained on cases of initial and subsequent two-dimensional or three-dimensional images of lesions. The lesion matching engine analyzes a target lesion identified with initial and a potential lesion identified with current imaging to determine a likelihood that the target lesion is the same as the potential lesion. A confidence level indicator for the lesion match is presented on a display of a computing device to aid a healthcare provider in locating a lesion in breast tissue.

摘要: Digital Breast Tomosynthesis allows for the acquisition of volumetric mammography images. The present invention allows for novel ways of viewing such images to detect microcalcifications and obstructions. In an embodiment a method for displaying volumetric images comprises computing a projection image using a viewing direction, displaying the projection image and then varying the projection image by varying the viewing direction. The viewing direction can be varied based on a periodic continuous mathematical function. A graphics processing unit can be used to compute the projection image and bricking can be used to accelerate the computation of the projection images.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for identifying features in 3D image volumes includes dividing a 3D volume into a plurality of 2D slices and applying a pre-trained 2D multi-channel global convolutional network (MC-GCN) to the plurality of 2D slices until convergence. Following convergence of the 2D MC-GCN, a plurality of parameters are extracted from a first feature encoder network in the 2D MC-GCN. The plurality of parameters are transferred to a second feature encoder network in a 3D Anisotropic Hybrid Network (AH-Net). The 3D AH-Net is applied to the 3D volume to yield a probability map;. Then, using the probability map, one or more of (a) coordinates of the objects with non-maximum suppression or (b) a label map of objects of interest in the 3D volume are generated.

摘要: The invention relates to a displaying system for displaying digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) data. First and second DBT volume images of the left breast of a woman and first and second DBT volume images of the right breast of the woman are provided by an image providing unit. Moreover, for each DBT volume image a two-dimensional navigation image is provided by a navigation image providing unit, wherein a user is allowed to indicate a location in the navigation image by using a user interface, whereafter a CAD marker associated with the location is determined in a DBT volume image of a breast and a corresponding CAD marker, if present, is determined in another DBT volume image of the breast. Slices of these DBT volume images, which are associated with the CAD markers, are presented on a display.
