摘要: Managing noise during an online conference session includes obtaining audio data from an endpoint participating in an online conference session. The audio data is derived from audio captured at the endpoint that includes musical sounds. The audio data is processed to identify a portion of the audio data in which a decibel level of the musical sounds is stable for a period of time. Non-musical noise present, if any, in the audio data with the musical sounds is identified and the non-musical noise is attenuated from the audio data to generate noise-reduced musical audio data. The noise-reduced musical audio data is transmitted for play out at one or more other endpoints participating in the online conference session.

摘要: Introduced here is a wearable audio system including modular ear-cup and ear-bud that can be attached and detached to the user together, or independently of each other. Further, the modular ear-cup and ear-bud can operate together, or independently of each other. The wearable audio system can perform active noise cancellation by measuring noise inside the ear-cup and/or the ear-bud, computing the noise canceling sound, and forwarding the noise canceling sound to a speaker inside the ear-cup and/or the ear-bud. The wearable audio system can be wirelessly charged while operating, thus allowing the user to continuously listen to music more than previously possible. The wearable audio system can optimize power consumption by redistributing power intensive tasks to power sources with the highest amount of power. Further, the ambient sound outside the ear-cup can be measured and played by the speakers in the earbud allowing the user to hear the surrounding environment.

摘要: A method and a system for creating a plurality of sound zones within an acoustic cavity is provided. The method comprises: providing a plurality of actuators within the acoustic cavity, each for generating a respective acoustic output in response to a respective drive signal, providing, for each of the plurality of actuators, an adaptive filter for receiving a respective input signal, and generating a respective output signal, providing, for each of the adaptive filters, at least one filter coefficient, providing a plurality of error sensors within the acoustic cavity, each for generating a respective error signal e, representing a respective sound detected by the respective error sensor, providing an audio data signal x(n) for generating a desired sound in a desired sound zone of the plurality of sound zones, determining, for the desired sound zone, a set of actuator generation coefficients kgk, a set of actuator exclusion coefficients kek, wherein k refers to a kth actuator, k=1, 2, 3 . . . , and a set of sensor weighting coefficients mem wherein m refers to a mth error sensor, m=1, 2, 3.

摘要: Various implementations include systems for providing enhanced aware mode capabilities in an ANR audio device. In particular implementations, a method includes receiving an ambient noise signal from a microphone associated with a wearable audio device; determining a gain value based on a sound pressure level (SPL) of the ambient noise signal; generating a gain adjusted ambient noise signal by applying the gain value to the ambient noise signal; generating a total external microphone signal by adding the gain adjusted ambient noise signal to a noise reducing ambient signal; generating an expanded audio signal by selectively adjusting a source audio signal based on the gain adjusted ambient noise signal; and combining and outputting the expanded audio signal with the total external microphone signal to an acoustic transducer.
