摘要： A method of non-rotatably securing a target to a shaft extending along a longitudinal axis within an enclosed proximity switch assembly is described. The target support at least one target magnet and a hub having a body portion extending along the longitudinal axis. The body portion includes an outer surface and a shaft aperture extending along the longitudinal axis, and further includes at least one threaded body aperture extending from the outer surface to the shaft aperture. The shaft is inserted into the shaft aperture, and a set screw is inserted into one of the body apertures. A torque is applied to the set screw to threadably engage the set screw with the one of the body apertures such that a distal end of the set screw contacts an outer surface of the shaft. The set screw is sealed within the body aperture with a high-temperature potting.

摘要： A switch actuator device is disclosed. The switch actuator device includes a switch housing, a body having a first and second arm, and a resilient member having a first and second end. The first and second ends of the resilient member are configured to be coupled to the body and switch housing, respectively. The resilient member exerts a first force on the body when the body is at a first position, a second force when the body is at a second position, and a third force when the body is at a threshold position. When the body is rotated about a pivot point from the first to second position, or vice versa, the respective first or second force increases in magnitude and acts on the body to first resist the rotation until the body is in the threshold position, and then assists the rotation.

An angular position of the shaft is based on a position of the actuator. The apparatus includes a target coupled to the shaft and a circuit including a user configurable switch and a proximity switch. The user configurable switch is configurable to a first state or a second state. When the user configurable switch is in the first state and the target is distant from the proximity switch, the circuit is to output a first signal. When the user configurable switch is in the second state and the target is distant from the proximity switch, the circuit is to output a second signal different than the first signal.

This design allows for a universal configuration which allows for multiple different types of electrical devices to be coupled to the enclosure.

摘要： A switch device includes a switch body and an operation member. The switch body includes a case and a rotary shaft rotatably supported by the case and extending from one end of the case in an axial direction. The operation member is joined to the rotary shaft. The case has a cylindrical outer surface and the operation member has a cylindrical inner surface disposed coaxial with the cylindrical outer surface of the case. A support member is disposed at one of the cylindrical outer surface of the case and the cylindrical inner surface of the operation member and has an edge portion extending linearly along a circumferential direction of the one of the cylindrical outer surface and the cylindrical inner surface, so that the edge portion can slidably contact the other of the cylindrical outer surface of the case and the cylindrical inner surface of the operation member.

摘要： A variable output device is mounted on a mounting unit with the operating shaft displaceable. An operating unit for transmitting the operation of the user to the operating shaft is mounted on the operating shaft relatively movably along the direction of the axis of the operating shaft, on the one hand, and in an operatively interlocked fashion along the direction of displacement of the operating shaft, on the other hand. A holding member is arranged in opposed relation with the mounting unit with the variable output device interposed therebetween. An elasticity applier urges the operating unit away from the variable output device. The holding member is provided with an operating hole. The holding member is arranged at a position in opposed relation with the mounting unit with the variable output device and the operating unit interposed therebetween. The operating unit elastically urged by the elasticity applier is brought into contact with the peripheral edge portion of the operating hole of the holding member in opposed relation with the operating hole.

摘要： A protected switch unit is provided in a cassette tape recorder employing a single motor for driving a power transmission system for transferring a cassette holder and a power transmission system for loading and unloading the tape of the cassette loaded on the cassette tape recorder. The protected switch controls the motor for sequential cassette inserting operation and tape loading operation and for sequential tape unloading operation and cassette ejecting operation. A protective member for protecting the switch unit from dust is interposed between a circuit board having stationary contact terminals and a machine element of the power transmission system, carrying a movable contact terminal so as to seal the switch unit from dust.

摘要： A thumb selector switch structure is disclosed which is particularly suitable for use in corrosive or dusty environments. The selector switch includes a printed circuit panel having an angularly encoded conductive pattern printed thereon. A rotatable contact carrying indicia wheel is rotatably mounted to the printed circuit panel so that the contacts carried by the indicia wheel selectively engage various portions of the angularly encoded printed circuit pattern, thereby producing digital output signals in response to the rotation of the contact carrying wheel. The contact carrying wheel is permanently hermetically sealed to the printed circuit board by means of a clear plastic casing. An actuator wheel is provided for rotating the indicia and contact carrying wheel. A suitable housing having a detent spring mounted therein is provided to enclose the above described structure.
