摘要: A cathode-ray tube includes a glass envelope having a panel with an inner surface formed with a phosphor screen, and a cylindrical neck extending substantially coaxially with a tube axis. An electron gun is arranged in the neck, and a stem is welded to an end of the neck. The stem has a substantially circular disk-like flare made of glass and having an outer peripheral portion welded to the end of the neck, and a plurality of stem pins attached to the flare. The end of the neck and the flare of the stem are welded to each other such that a glass portion of the flare surrounds a glass portion of the end of the neck from outside.

摘要: A vacuum envelope of a cathode-ray tube includes a panel and a funnel section opposed to the panel. The funnel section has two funnels each having a cone section. Each of the funnels is formed by cutting one side portion of a base funnel which is formed by pressing. The two funnels are joined together at sections thereof so as to form the funnel section and also joined to the panel into the vacuum envelope. A neck containing an electron gun is joined to each of the cone sections. A phosphor screen formed on the inner surface has two scanning regions which are divided scanned by electron beams emitted from the electron guns.

摘要: The present invention aims at maintaining the high focusing performance with a low deflection power in a projection tube which is used as a projection type TV receiver or a projector and is operated at a high voltage and with a single-electron-beam high current. A neck outer diameter of a portion on which a deflection yoke is mounted is made smaller than a neck outer diameter of a portion which accommodates an electron gun. A final electrode of the electron gun has a diameter thereof gradually decreased toward a phosphor screen. The maximum anode voltage of the projection tube is set to equal to or more than 25 KV and the maximum beam current is set to equal to or more than 4 mA.

摘要: A glass funnel for a cathode ray tube, which has a substantially rectangular opened end at one end and a neck portion at the other end and which constitutes, together with a glass panel having a substantially rectangular face portion, a glass bulb to be used for a cathode ray tube, wherein the glass constituting the glass funnel contains, by molar percentage, at least 60% of SiO2 and at least 7% of PbO; when the molar percentages of Na2O and K2O contained in said glass are represented by WNa and WK, respectively, 0.35≦WK/(WNa+WK)≦0.6; a compressive stress layer is formed by chemical tempering at least in the outer surface of a region containing a position where the tensile stress formed when the interior of the glass bulb is vacuumed to produce the cathode ray tube, becomes maximum; and either one or both of the outer surface of the chemically tempered region and the inner surface opposite to said outer surface, are colored by ion exchange coloration.

The glass bulb for the CRT includes a panel unit having a panel screen, a neck unit holding an electron gun, and a funnel unit having a funnel-like shape, and the panel unit and the neck unit are bridged by the funnel unit. In the glass bulb, the funnel unit is formed from a plurality of glass members and a maximum-to-minimum thickness ratio of each of the plurality of glass members is designed to be within a range suitable for producing the glass members using pressing.

摘要: A device for shielding the earth magnetic field permeating through a neck of a cathode ray tube (CRT) to improve purity, raster and convergence characteristics in the CRT. The device for shielding the earth magnetic field according to the present invention includes a tube type shielding device, the device made of a material having a high magnetic permeability and low coercive force, and the device having four evenly spaced extension parts formed on the periphery thereof along the CRT axis. The device is made of a Ni—Fe permalloy including Ni of more than 50 weight %, preferably about 78.5 weight %. The device has an inner diameter capable of mounting on the outer surface of the neck. Alternatively, the device may be mounted on the neck by means of a both-sided adhesive tape. The device may be also securely mounted on the neck by means of a thermal contraction tube.
