A power supply can be connected in series with a diode to restrict an inrush current resulting from connection of the power supply with a battery. In some embodiments, the power supply can further include a plurality of power supplies to restrict the amount of inrush current a single power supply can provide. In other embodiments, the power supply can also include a bypass capacitor that the power supply charges before supplying current to the battery. The power supply can regulate the amount of current that is applied to the battery and prevent inrush current from damaging the battery. Multiple power supplies add to overall reliability.

摘要: An arrangement for connecting and disconnecting DC networks includes a main bus for connecting a plurality of DC lines with each other. First and second DC lines are connected between first and second DC networks and the main bus via respective main switches. The DC networks contain a DC operating equipment, such as a converter, an energy storage device, a DC chopper, a DC cable, an energy source and/or a load. A transfer bus that is electrically connected to the main bus has a transfer bus disconnector for disconnecting the main bus from the transfer bus, a transfer switch, and a current limiting device with a resistor and a parallel resistor bypass switch. The first DC line is connected to the transfer bus via a first transfer disconnector and the second DC line is connected to the transfer bus via a second transfer disconnector.

摘要: A decentralized electrical power allocation system is provided. The system includes a power bus, electric power consumers, and at least two power source assemblies. Each power source assembly includes a power controller and a power source. Each power controller is configured to execute an adaptive droop control scheme so as to cause their respective power sources to output power to meet a power demand on the power bus applied by the power consumers. The power output of a given power source is controlled based at least in part on correlating a power feedback of the given power source with a droop function that represents an efficiency of the given power source to generate electrical power for a given power output. The droop functions are collaboratively defined so that one power source shares more output at lower power levels while another power source shares more output at higher power levels.
