    Abstract: A distributed data processing system includes a first data processing system and a second data processing system. The first data processing system includes a first housing, a first data processor, and a first optical module that is configured to convert output electrical signals from the first data processor to output optical signals that are provided to a first optical fiber cable. The second data processing system includes a second housing, a second data processor, and a second optical module that is configured to convert output electrical signals from the second data processor to output optical signals that are provided to a second optical fiber cable. An optical power supply includes at least one laser that is configured to provide a first light source to the first optical module through a first optical link and to provide a second light source to the second optical module through a second optical link.

    Abstract: A signal transmission system includes a first laser signal transmission system, a second laser signal transmission system and a control module. The first laser signal transmission system includes an electric signal generation module, a first electro-optical conversion module and a first optical-electro conversion module. The electric signal generation module outputs a first current and a first voltage. The first electro-optical conversion module outputs a first optical signal. The first optical-electro conversion module outputs a second voltage. The second laser signal transmission system alternately inputs the first voltage and a calibration voltage and outputs a third voltage. The control module determines the first voltage based on the correspondence relationship between the calibration voltage and the third voltage and based on the third voltage, and determines a first electro-optical conversion coefficient based on a ratio of the first voltage to the second voltage.

    Abstract: An optical transmission power supply cable includes an electric power input terminal, a power sourcing equipment and an optical fiber cable.     Abstract: A substrate support assembly comprises a first optical receiver, a power converter, a first circuit, and a first optical transmitter, all embedded in the substrate support assembly.     Abstract: A power over fiber system includes a power sourcing equipment, a powered device, an optical fiber cable, a power storage and a controller. The power sourcing equipment includes a semiconductor laser that oscillates with electric power, thereby outputting feed light. The powered device includes a photoelectric conversion element that converts the feed light into electric power. The optical fiber cable transmits the feed light from the power sourcing equipment to the powered device. The power storage stores the electric power. The controller performs a process of lowering an output level of the feed light in response to a value related to an electric power amount of the electric power stored in the power storage being equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold value, and performs a process of raising the output level in response to the value being lower than the predetermined threshold value.
