When the access point operates in a training stage for determining at least one optimal antenna adapted to the electronic device, the processor uses a specific MCS code from the plurality of MCS codes to transmit the plurality of training packets to the electronic device via the antenna module and the wireless network module without switching the other MCS codes for determining the at least one optimal antenna adapted to the electronic device.

The transmitter equipment inputs an intermediate frequency contribution of the first signal into a cross-polar interference canceller, included in the receiver equipment, for reducing a co-channel interference in the receiver equipment caused by the first and the second signals, wherein the cross-polar interference canceller selects a desired signal from the two signals received so as to reduce said interference.

    摘要: Electronic devices may be provided that contain wireless communications circuitry. The wireless communications circuitry may include radio-frequency transceiver circuitry coupled to multiple antennas. Signal strength measurements may be gathered using the antennas and corresponding signal strength difference measurements may be produced to reflect which of the antennas is exhibiting superior performing. The signal strength difference measurements may be filtered using time-based averaging filters with different speeds. Corresponding filtered difference measurements may be compared to antenna switching criteria such as antenna switching thresholds. An antenna switching threshold may be adjusted in real time based on computations of how much variation is exhibited as a function of time between the difference measurements filtered using the filters of different speeds. Information on device movement or other data may be used in making threshold adjustments.

    摘要: Systems and methods that provide channel-adaptive antenna selection in multi-antenna element communication systems are provided. In one embodiment, a method that selects a subset of receive antennas of a receiver to receive a transmitted RF signal may include, for example, one or more of the following: establishing possible subsets of the receive antennas; determining sets of channel parameter statistics corresponding to the possible subsets of the receive antennas; computing output bit error rates of the receiver, each output bit error rate being computed based on at least one set of channel parameter statistics; selecting a particular possible subset of the receive antennas based upon a criterion predicated on the computed output bit error rates; and connecting one or more RF chains of the receiver to the receive antennas of the selected particular possible subset.

    摘要: Electronic devices may be provided that contain wireless communications circuitry. The wireless communications circuitry may include radio-frequency transceiver circuitry coupled to multiple antennas. Signal strength measurements may be gathered using the antennas and corresponding signal strength difference measurements may be produced to reflect which of the antennas is exhibiting superior performing. The signal strength difference measurements may be filtered using time-based averaging filters with different speeds.
