摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are described herein for facilitating live migration of a virtual machine from a source host to a destination host. In one aspect, a method for facilitating live migration may include obtaining connection state information corresponding to a configured communication link of a virtual machine associated with a source host. The method may further include migrating the connection state information to a destination host selected for live migration of the virtual machine. The method may additionally include modifying the connection state information based on the destination host to generate modified connection state information. The virtual machine, after live migration to the destination host, may be configured to maintain the configured communication link using the modified connection state information.

摘要: Discloses is a computer network system comprising a plurality of network management tools, a network segment comprising a plurality of hardware devices, and a proxy for interconnecting network management tools with the network segment. Each of the network management tools is assigned at least one functionality for monitoring and controlling at least one hardware device which is polled by the network management tools. The functionalities from different network management tools are separate from each other, and the proxy is set up to consolidate requests from the different network management tools and to focus the requests on one single request to the device to be controlled by the different network management tools.

摘要: Mechanisms to enable management controllers to learn the control plane hierarchy in data center environments. The data center is configured in a physical hierarchy including multiple pods, racks, trays, and sleds and associated switches. Management controllers at various levels in a control plane hierarchy and associated with switches in the physical hierarchy are configured to add their IP addresses to DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) responses that are generated by a DCHP server in response to DCHP requests for IP address requests initiated by DHCP clients including manageability controllers, compute nodes and storage nodes in the data center. As the DCHP response traverses each of multiple switches along a forwarding path from the DCHP server to the DHCP client, an IP address of the manageability controller associated with the switch is inserted. Upon receipt at the DHCP client, the inserted IP addresses are extracted and used to automate learning of the control plane hierarchy.

摘要: A first group is defined from an arbitrary set of nodes comprising service instances. Each node in the first group assumes one or more responsibilities in processing a request across the first group. A second group is defined from an arbitrary set of nodes. Each node in the second group assumes one or more discrete responsibilities in processing a request across the second group. The second group has a topology distinct from that of the first group. Request processing is transitioned from the first group to the second group based on a responsibility adaptation policy.

摘要: In a content delivery network (CDN a method includes: receiving a request for a CDN service of a particular type, wherein a CDN service of said particular type defines a fixed number of configurable layers of request processing, sequentially from a first layer to a last layer; and processing said request, starting at said first layer, said processing being based on a modifiable runtime environment, said processing continuing conditionally through each of said layers in turn until either said request is terminated by one of said layers or said last layer processes said request. A layer may cause some of the processing of a request to be handled by another service. The CDN service may be selected from: delivery services, collector services, reducer services, rendezvous services, configuration services, and control services.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a policy control method and device. The method includes: receiving, by a PCRF, NAT entry information sent by a NAT device; obtaining, by the PCRF, a first PCC rule according to the NAT entry information, where the first PCC rule is a PCC rule including an IP address to be translated by the NAT device; and sending, by the PCRF, the first PCC rule to a gateway device, so that the gateway device executes the first PCC rule. According to the embodiments of the present invention, it can be ensured that the gateway device correctly executes the PCC rule.
