    摘要: A system determines an event location of an event within an indoor environment based on an event sound generated by the event. The system employs time-reversal techniques based on a received event sound to identify the event location as being in the vicinity of one of a plurality of locator devices at locator locations in the environment. The system includes a base array located within the environment that receives an indication that an event has been detected. Upon receiving the event sound, the system generates a time-reversed event sound for each transceiver and transmits via each transceiver the time-reversed event sound for that transceiver. When a locator device receives a time-reversed event sound, the locator device determines whether the event is in the vicinity of that locator location of the locator device and, if so, outputs an indication that the event occurred at that locator location.

    摘要: In aspects of digital media playback based on UWB radios, a system includes ultra-wideband (UWB) radios associated with respective media devices in an environment. A media playback manager receives location information for each of the media devices in the environment based on a position of the UWB radio associated with a respective media device. The media playback manager determines a location of each of the media devices relative to a position of a person in the environment. The media playback manager can then initiate communication of the digital media to a media device for digital media playback of the digital media, where the digital media is communicated to the media device based on the determined position of the person relative to the location of the media device in the environment.

    摘要: An encoder includes memory and circuitry which: (i) encodes an image block; (ii) when encoding the image block: binarizes coefficient information indicating coefficients of the image block; and controls whether to apply arithmetic encoding to a binary data string obtained by binarizing the coefficient information; and (iii) when binarizing the coefficient information: binarizes the coefficient information according to a first syntax structure when arithmetic encoding is applied to the data string and a predetermined condition is not satisfied; binarizes the coefficient information according to a second syntax structure when arithmetic encoding is applied to the data string and the predetermined condition is satisfied; binarizes the coefficient information according to the second syntax structure when no arithmetic encoding is applied to the data string; and subtracts 1 from a value of an initial non-zero coefficient when no arithmetic encoding is applied to the data string when encoding the image block.
