    摘要: The sensing circuit is used in an Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) transmission system to detect a wave signal with a predetermined shape in an input signal (IN1/IN2) transmitted over the system and applied to an input terminal (IN1/IN2) of the sensing circuit. It includes two branches with a correlated double sampling circuit (CDS1/CDS2), a counter circuit (C1/C2) and a comparator circuit (CMP1/CMP2) coupled in series. An input (IN1/IN2) of the correlated double sampling circuit of each branch is coupled to the input of the sensing circuit and an output of the comparator circuits is coupled to an output terminal (OUT) of the sensing circuit via an OR-ing circuit. The correlated double sampling circuits are adapted to provide a sampled signal and the counter circuits count the number of pulses of the sampled signals. The thus obtained count values are in the comparators are compared with a predetermined value corresponding with the count value which should be obtained when the input signal is a, possibly distorted, signal with the above mentioned predetermined shape. The sensing circuit is clocked by two clock signals, one for each branch, which are in quadrature.

    摘要: A simple and inexpensive circuit for evaluating the level and frequency ranges of call signals in a telecommunication system. For level evaluation the circuit comprises a pair of oppositely poled threshold value switches and an opto-coupler connected thereto. For frequency evaluation the circuit further comprises at least two series-arranged retriggerable monostable elements whose outputs are connected to a logic circuit. The dwell times of the monostable elements in response to an applied signal establish the frequency range within which a call signal can actuate the output of the logic circuit, thereby indicating whether the signal is within that range.

    摘要: Supervisory audio tones received from a mobile telephone unit are converted from analog to digital form. The tone is then converted to a complex number by bifurcating the tone path and multiplying one path by a sine function and the other path by a cosine function. The complex numbers are accumulated and the frequencies where significant power exists is found using the discrete Fourier transform. If the power at an assigned frequency exceeds a threshold, the corresponding supervisory audio tone is declared to have been detected.

    摘要: Corruption of communication signals on a telephone line by the direct (low impedance) interfacing of test equiupment to the line is precluded by a protective interlock circuit, which prevents the test set from seizing the line if data traffic is present. The interlock circuit is coupled between the line circuit to be accessed and the test equipment, and includes a multiple band frequency detector, which monitors the line for signals lying within (in and out-of-audio) frequency bands. Should the detector identify any traffic within its sensitivity range (out of the audio band) during the interval of a timing pulse produced by the closure of a switch, the logic level applied to combinational logic will change state and prevent the generation of a test set enabling signal. The test set enabling signal is normally coupled to a `line-seize` transistor circuit within the test set, so that, without this enabling signal, the test set is effectively locked-out from the line and data cannot be corrupted. Should the frequency detector not have produced an out of audio band detection signal after the expiration of the timing pulse, the combinational logic circuit and an associated flip-flop generate an output signal for enabling the test equipment to seize the line. The flip-flop remains set and the logic level of the output signal is maintained until the line is no longer seized by the test equipment.

    摘要: A telephone answering system for use in conjunction with a PBX/CENTREX system for answering incoming calls directed to any of the extension lines within the system. The telephone answering system includes an operator control station and a line detection system. The line detection system monitors the telephone lines within the PBX/CENTREX system. This detection system includes a plurality of ring/hook interfaces each of which is connected in parallel across one of the telephone lines in the PBX/CENTREX system being monitored. Each of the interfaces has a ring detector for detecting a ring signal on the associated telephone line for providing a ring count when there is an incoming call and a hook detector for detecting the on/off hook condition on the associated telephone line. A coupling mechanism couples the ring detector and the hook detector to the operator control station for providing information to the operator control station indicative of the ring count and hook conditions of the telephone lines being monitored. The operator control station is coupled to the detector and provides a signal for causing the PBX/CENTREX system to carry out a directed call pick-up when the ring count on a monitored telephone line has exceeded a preselected limit without the incoming call being answered and for transferring such incoming call to said operator control station for answering by an operator.
