    摘要: A wet processing jet machine for treating textile piece goods in rope form at a low liquid ratio. A plug supporting tube is provided as a vertical extension of a U-shaped processing chamber. The sides of the chamber are perforated and the bottom is imperforate for enhanced movement of the plug through the chamber. The tube extension is perforated to allow flow of liquid therefrom for enhanced plaiting. The amount of liquid with the rope in the plug is minimized for low liquid requirements and the head of the plug causes the plug to progress through the chamber above the low level of the liquid in the bottom of the vessel, which liquid level is below the bottom of the chamber or at least at a level that does not cause substantial floatation of the plug. The rope entering the tube is plaited by passing through an inverted frusto-conical plaiting nozzle that is oscillated and reciprocated to provide effective plaiting. In addition, a steam jet nozzle is provided for treatment and also to provide a driving impetus to the rope as it travels through the machine. The nozzle is formed with an annular housing having a wide steam accumulation chamber connected to a narrow supply passage leading upstream to a wide distribution chamber from which the steam flows downstream through a delivery passage to an annular orifice opening at a downstream inclination into the interior housing through which the rope travels.

    摘要: A dyeing apparatus comprises a dyeing vessel adapted to contain a dyeing liquid therein, a rotary shaft rotatably disposed as laterally suspended in the dyeing vessel, an impeller adapted to flow the dyeing liquid in a direction parallel to the rotary shaft, and a reel for permitting an article for dyeing to be rolled up thereon, the impeller and the reel being attached to the rotary shaft. The dyeing of the article rolled up on the reel is effected by causing the dyeing liquid to pass by permeation through the article from the lateral terminal part thereof by the rotation of the impeller. The rotary shaft may be rotated reversibly during the course of the dyeing.

    摘要: The process for rendering wool sliver shrinkproof involves complete wetting of at least one laterally unguided wool sliver with a chlorinating liquor at ambient temperature wherein the liquor is applied to the sliver with a four- to sevenfold excess. The sliver is conducted immediately thereafter through a guide slot, together with the applied excess quantity of liquid; the complete wetting of the fibers of the sliver with the chlorinating liquor is effected in this guide slot by separating the wool sliver from possible air occlusions. Subsequently thereto, the sliver is accompanied by the liquor through a small-volume guide channel, to be squeezed out following the chlorine treatment. The apparatus has a pair of squeeze rolls, the cylinders of which are arranged to be spaced apart to form a guide slot and are rotatably mounted, these squeeze rolls being associated immediately thereabove with spray means to supply the chlorinating liquor necessary for complete wetting.

    摘要: Apparatus for low liquid wet treatment of a textile material in various forms, such as lengths of fabric in rope form or yarn in skein form, through a treating chamber in the presence of a treatment liquid with the textile material being circulated through a predetermined path of treatment on oscillating support members in the form of parallel beams arranged in rows and caused to oscillate in an alternate manner in which alternate support members are driven through a raised support and movement path wherein the textile material is supported and moved forward thereon while intermediate support members are moved through a lowered return path out of supporting engagement with the textile material. While the textile material is being supported and moved by the support members, treatment liquid is applied by a system of horizontally opposed spray nozzles directed outwardly in a horizontally opposed manner such that the sprays collide, disrupting the spray pattern and causing the treatment liquid to fall as a mist onto the textile material passing thereunder.
