    Abstract: A blast-resistant window assembly is provided. The assembly has a window, and first and second brackets. The window is fitted within an opening having at least one wall. The first bracket has a brace located adjacent the window, and a stop located adjacent the wall. The second bracket is located adjacent the wall and is configured to receive the stop. During an explosion, force created therefrom causes the window to engage the brace of the first bracket to cause the stop of the same to be received by the second bracket.

    Abstract: An apparatus for holding a metal stud during wall construction comprises a frame including a pair of spaced-apart longitudinal members generally parallel to each other, a first cross member extending between the longitudinal members, a second cross member located at an intermediate position between the longitudinal members, and at least one stud magnet magnetically engageable with a metal stud. A base member adapted to engage a stud track is connected to the frame. The frame is disposable relative to the base member to position the metal stud substantially orthogonal to the stud track. The longitudinal members and the first cross member can comprise a unitary U-shaped member. The base member can be comprised of a pair of spaced-apart arms pivotably connected to the second cross member. The base member can further comprise a third arm pivotably connected to the pair of arms which pivots between a storage position and a working position. A method for erecting a metal wall partition is also provided.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a suspended ceiling having rectilinear panels held within a co-planar matrix of inverted T-grid elements; each T-grid element possesses a horizontal and a vertical component.The T-grid elements are suspended by their vertical component from the natural ceiling or ceiling beams. The improvement set forth relates the use of imitation beams secureable to the horizontal components of the matrix of T-grid elements at a time after installation of the suspended ceiling has occurred. Each of the imitation beams is an elongate rectilinear element complemental on at least one surface with the horizontal component of the T-grid elements. Included are press-fit securement elements in the rectilinear elements, such elements imbedded within the complemental surface of the elongate elements. Thereby an imitation beam structure for a suspended ceiling may be achieved through the manual affixation of the rectilinear elements to the horizontal components of the matrix of the T-grid elements. Each of the rectilinear elements is provided with a woodgrain or other pleasing-to-the-eye surface ornamentation such that, from the perspective of an occupant of a room covered by a suspended ceiling, a favorable impression of depth and richness is imparted.

    Abstract: A wall hanging having a variable picture made of a multitude of interchangeable tiles which snap-fit onto a specially configured picture support assembly. A frame decoratively surrounds and contains the tiles. Each of the tiles has an eccentric image or eccentric geometric pattern thereon and can be rotated on a peg to various positions to attain a variety of pictures. Even more pictures can be obtained when different patterned tiles are exchanged with each other. In one embodiment, the tiles and pegs are rectangular and the pegs have a concave corner to facilitate removal of the tiles. In another embodiment, the faces of the tiles are circular and rotate upon cylindrical pegs. The tiles can also be transparent with window-like pockets that receive reversible decorative members.
