    摘要: A bi-directional flow-control device includes a housing defining a flow passage and first and second orifices installed in the passage, each orifice being tubular and having a seat, each seat having a plurality of circumferentially spaced flow-control channels, the seat of the second orifice being axially spaced from and facing the seat of the first orifice. A resiliently deformable diaphragm is disposed between the seats, whereby flow through the passage in a first direction urges the diaphragm against the seat of the first orifice and flow through the passage in an opposite second direction urges the diaphragm against the seat of the second orifice. The diaphragm in each case deforms into the channels in the seat to varying degrees as a function of pressure differential such that in either flow direction the flow is regulated to a substantially constant volumetric flow rate over a range of pressure differentials.

    摘要: This invention relates to a new valve module which is particularly suitable for use in an exercise device. The valve module comprises a housing, at least one entrance conduit to allow air to enter the valve module, at least one exit conduit to allow air to exit from the valve module and a pair of valves to control the flow of air through the module. The module is particularly suitable in a variety of exercise devices used in the field of muscle development, exercise and rehabilitation. These devices including the novel module allow for isometric, concentric and eccentric contractions and allow for differing velocities of exercise movement. These devices may be manufactured and sold for home use and require no auxiliary fluid supply source and are completely self contained.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a flow control bypass valve adapted to bleed off up to about 90 percent of the gas passing through a gas line. The structure involves a bypass gas outlet aperture in a cylindrical valve body through which the gas flows and a spring biased ball check valve assembly mounted for rotational movement around the valve body so that the intake port of the check valve can be placed into any desired degree of registry with the bypass outlet or act to expose the bypass outlet to the open atmosphere to any desired extent.
