摘要: A variety of passive intragastric implant devices for obesity treatment are disclosed. Such passive devices do not autonomously change shape, but instead react within the stomach to induce satiety. The devices may take up volume within the stomach, thus reducing the intake capacity. Additionally, the devices may contact areas within the stomach, such as the cardia surrounding the esophageal sphincter, to stimulate satiety-inducing nerves. Also, certain devices slow gastric emptying by blocking or otherwise impeding flow through the pyloric sphincter. A number of devices combine two or more of these satiety-inducing features. Methods of implant are disclosed including compressing the devices within a delivery tube and transorally advancing the devices through the esophagus to be deployed within the stomach. Removal of the devices occurs in the reverse.

Such passive implants do not autonomously change shape, but instead react within the stomach to induce satiety. The implants may take up volume within the stomach, thus reducing the digestive capacity. Additionally, the implants may contact areas within the stomach, such as the cardia surrounding the esophageal sphincter, to stimulate satiety-inducing nerves. Also, a number of implants slow gastric emptying by blocking or otherwise impeding flow through the pyloric sphincter. Other implants delay digestion by providing a duodenal sleeve. A number of implants combine two or more of these satiety-inducing features. Methods of implant are disclosed including compressing the implants within a delivery tube and transorally advancing the implants through the esophagus to be deployed within the stomach. Removal of the implants occurs in the reverse.

摘要: A clipping device includes a first arm having a body portion that includes a connecting portion and a fastener at two ends thereof, respectively; a second arm having a body portion that includes a connecting portion and a fastener-receiving portion at two ends thereof, respectively, wherein the connecting portion is connected to the connecting portion of the first arm; and a lock assembly having a fastener removably engaged with the fastener of the first arm and a switch being shiftable between a first position and a second position. When the switch is at the first position, the fastener of the lock assembly is displaceable, and when the switch is at the second position, the fastener of the lock assembly is not displaceable.

摘要: A clamp assembly includes a body having a base and first and second jaw guides extending outwardly from the base. A trough has first and second ends formed between the first and second jaw guides. First and second jaws are movably received in the trough for receiving a cable therebetween. The first jaw engages the first jaw guide. The second jaw engages the second jaw guide. The first jaw engages the second jaw such that the first and second jaws move together. A pin is disposed in the body proximal the first end of the trough. A spring has a first end connected to the pin and a second end connected to the second jaw to bias the first and second jaws toward the first end of the trough.

摘要: A retention clip for hardware may include a support surface having an aperture extending through the support surface. The support surface may surround an entire perimeter of the aperture. The clip may further include at least one anti-rotation surface extending from the support surface in a non-parallel direction, and a plurality of angled tabs extending from the support surface in non-parallel directions towards the aperture. At least a portion of each angled tab may be disposed directly below the aperture. The tabs may be elastic below a preset load placed on the tabs, and the tabs may deform and lose their elasticity above the preset load.
