摘要： An enhanced fish feed and a method of feeding fish with the enhanced feed are described for particular use in fish farms. The fish feed comprises pellets which are coated with a material intended to contrast highly with conditions within cages of the fish farm and thereby become visible to fish below the surface and humans near the surface. A coating of white material, preferably a mica/titanium dioxide compound, is appropriate. The enhanced visibility of the feed increases the water feeding volume within the enclosure. This reduces fish congestion and stress upon the fish during the feeding period and increases feeding rate.

摘要： A bird feeder which utilizes a shielding collar that behaves substantially like a universal-joint. The hollow, generally-cylindrical collar surrounds an annular food tray. The collar has a plurality of openings to provide access to the food tray, with a perch rod adjacent each opening. The collar is suspended by a spring device operative to allow the collar to simultaneously tilt, move downwardly and rotate, thus occluding the passage to food whenever the weight and agitated movements of a squirrel are brought to bear upon the collar.

摘要： A deer feeder adapted for hanging in a tree is provided. The feeder includes an upright tubular feed reservoir. A feeding port angles upwardly from and communicates with the feed reservoir proximate its bottom end. In a first embodiment of the feeder, a flexible support member such as a chain is connected to the reservoir proximate its top end and so as to be engageable with the tree to suspend the feeder therefrom and a cleat extends outwardly from the feed reservoir and engages the tree trunk in order to stabilize the feeder relative to the tree. In a second embodiment, the exterior surface of the feeder is corrugated so as to include a plurality of transverse ridges separated by grooves. The feeder is connected to a tree trunk by flexible securement members which encircle the feeder and engage the grooves on the exterior surface.

A framework nestably receives the container and has first and second support members extending around the container in parallel planes. The first and second support members are interconnected by rigid bars that may be curvilinear in shape. A hanger assembly is used to suspend the feeder from a support. The base may have a plurality of passageways each with an outer opening that are spaced apart from one another. The rigid bars may be decorative, and decorative images may also be disposed on the framework. A method of feeding birds with this feeder is also disclosed.

摘要： An improved bird feeder, usually supplied with nectar, or other insect attracting food source is suspended below an apparatus containing liquid in a moat like structure. The apparatus provides for an upper portion which may be removably attached to a lower portion. The lower portion's bottom edge terminates in an upward direction within the internal section of the lower portion to form a moat like channel. Water, gel or another insect trapping substance, is placed in the moat to prevent insects from crawling further in a first direction in an attempt to reach the feeder. The apparatus surrounds a suspending element with an opening sufficiently large to prevent insects from reaching the suspending element when traveling in a second direction.
