Abstract: A high-density keeping-alive box for fish and a transport method using same. The keeping-alive box includes a box body and a cover assembly. The box body includes a fish accommodating area and a water circulation area. A cover of the cover assembly on the fish accommodating area is pivotedly connected to the box body, and is provided with a vent hole to prevent splash. A connection between the cover assembly and the box body is provided with a splash-proof rubber. The water circulation area is arranged at a side inside the box body. The water circulation area includes a purification system, a refrigerator and an aeration system arranged sequentially. The purification system includes a primary filtration area, a secondary filtration area, an activated carbon filtration area and an ultraviolet (UV) sterilization area.

Abstract: Disclosed are livewell systems and methods of operating livewell systems. A livewell system may include a livewell tank having a chamber formed therein, a fill sensor configured to detect a fill level of the chamber, an intake pump configured to selectively convey water into the chamber, and a control unit including a processor and a memory storing instructions. The processor may be configured to execute the instructions to receive a fill signal, determine whether the chamber is filled to a predetermined fill level; and in response to the fill signal and a determination that the chamber is not filled to the predetermined fill level, cause the intake pump to convey water into the chamber.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for identification and re-identification of fish. In some implementations, first media representative of aquatic cargo is received. Second media based on the first media is generated, wherein a resolution of the second media is higher than a resolution of the first media. A cropped representation of the second media is generated. The cropped representation is provided to the machine learning model. In response to providing the cropped representation to the machine learning model, an embedding representing the cropped representation is generated using the machine learning model. The embedding is mapped to a high dimensional space. Data identifying the aquatic cargo is provided to a database, wherein the data identifying the aquatic cargo comprises an identifier of the aquatic cargo, the embedding, and a mapped region of the high dimensional space.

The elongated member includes a threaded portion. The threaded portion connects to a wall of a container. The apparatus encompasses a flange extending from the elongated member. The elongated member includes at least two chambers or ports for connecting air circulation systems. The second chamber connects to a bubbler tube for drawing positive airflow from an air pump into the container. The first chamber connects to a suction tube and pushes out the positive airflow out of the container to ensure that no pressure is retained inside of the container.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to emersed shellfish storage. A container support has a surface to support containers. Each container has respective cells to accommodate live shellfish, such as lobster, in a vertical orientation substantially perpendicular to the surface. Water from a reservoir is pumped, intermittently in some embodiments, to one or more of the containers above the shellfish, and a collector collects and provides to the reservoir the water that is pumped by the pump system and flows over the shellfish. In an embodiment, the cells are provided by a divider that divides an interior space of each container, and the divider carries a perforated top insert at or below a top edge of each container, to distribute fluids to the cells.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for inducing artificial hibernation of fish that is capable of transporting the fish in a state of being alive for long hours. According to the present invention, a water temperature is gradually decreased from an initial water temperature to the lowest water temperature, the fish are induced to the artificial hibernation, and they are packed in a waterless state. The packing is carried out in an environment where the lowest water temperature is constantly maintained, and a refrigerant is also packed to constantly maintain a temperature in a packing container, while oxygen is continuously supplied to the live fish induced to the artificial hibernation. The fish are individually packed in the Styrofoam box, and even if an atmospheric pressure in the airport is lowered during transport of the fish, there is no danger of causing respiration of the fish to be hard due to a plastic bag damaged. Through the hibernation inducing method and packing capable of reducing stress of the fish, in addition, the fish can be alive in a waterless environment for 36 hours or more, thereby making possible to globally distribute the live fish.
