Abstract:
Automatic pear processing machine, performing the operations of singularising the pears, picking them up from a container (2), peeling and coring them, and separating the edible parts, wherein the improvement consists, besides other things, in providing means 14, 15, 16, 17, 20) allowing to immediately reject pears of irregular for, which would necessarily lead to waste material, and moreover, in providing holes (46, 53) of very small diameters, on the blades (44, 45) used for cutting the pears into segments. The holes (46, 53) of very small diameter, or nullmicroholesnull, allow to inject a fluid, so as to ensure the detachment of the core from both halves of the pears, and the detachment of these parts from the blades (44, 45).
Abstract:
The present invention is a nut cracker apparatus that will successfully and efficiency crack nuts and separate the meat from the shell. To enable successful cracking the present invention comprises a housing having an inlet and outlet. Interiorly located in the housing is a rotatable horizontally disposed drum. A shaft having a plurality of paddles extends centrally through the drum. Secured to the wall of the drum is a plurality of removable screens. Nuts are feed to the inlet into the rotatable drum. During rotation, the paddles impart a force on the nuts causing them to crack and having the shells dislodge from the meat. The screens enable the appropriately sized meat to fall therethrough.
Abstract:
A hand operated egg breaker device which comprises a top section (12) which is hinged (14) to a bottom section (16). Said top section comprises downward projecting ribs (10) which are located on its underside. The bottom section comprises one or more concavities (18) which are located on said bottom section's upper surface and where an egg or more would sit in prior to an egg breaking operation.
Abstract:
A tool for cutting PET bottles and the like into ribbons. The tool comprises a toolhead having an opening, a cutting blade housed inside the opening and a slot open above and extending perpendicular to the plane of blade, downwards through the toolhead a short distance past the blade. The blade has a sharp edge across the slot. The slot receives the edge of the bottle obtained by cutting off the bottle bottom or the funnel and spout thereof. The edge is inserted in the slot and the bottle turned so that the blade cuts through the bottle following a spiral path and producing a ribbon of PET material at an outlet side of the slot.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an apparatus for dispersing pigment in a water-based or oil-based intermediate mixture for producing a coating composition comprising a mixer and a dispersing device, the mixer having a vacuum pump and capable of conducting a primary mixing of a pigment component and resin-containing liquid medium to form an intermediate mixture, the dispersing device capable of conducting the secondary mixing of the intermediate mixture, the mixer and the dispersing device being connected by pipes to form a circulation channel for the intermediate mixture, one of the pipes being provided with a seal-less pump, the intermediate mixture capable of cieculating between the mixer and the dispersing device through the circulation channel.
Abstract:
A food product cutting apparatus that makes a substantially horizontal cut through food product being delivered in a substantially vertical direction. The food product is delivered to a cutting device through an internal passage of at least one feed member above the cutting device. A force is applied to the food product traveling downward through the internal passage so as to push the food product against a first wall of the feed member. The apparatus is configured to improve product flow by configuring the passage of the feed member to have a cross-sectional shape defined by two offset, overlapping diameters. The apparatus is also configured for improved safety by ensuring that the cutting device is properly secured before electrical power is available for driving the cutting device.
Abstract:
A method for decreasing space requirements during storage, and preventing breakage during transport, of cut potatoes, is shown. This method comprises the steps of preparing potatoes to be cut for food use, cutting the potatoes into rectilinear solids with approximately rectangular cross-sections, having two sets of parallel side faces, each having a width dimension, arranging the rectilinear solids in plurality of close together side-by-side arrays in which one set of parallel side faces are substantially aligned, then stacking the arrays into orderly layers in which the second side faces of are substantially aligned, to create a close stacking mutual support arrangement, and enclosing the arrangement in a suitable container for shipping and storage. In this manner the close stacking arrangement substantially minimizes the storage space required for a unit weight of cut potatoes, and minimizes the exposed cut surfaces to minimize any deleterious effects of exposure to air during storage. At the same time, the close stacking arrangement also permits each rectilinear solid to provide support to its neighbors and in turn receive support from its neighbors, substantially minimizing the breakage of the cut potatoes caused by shifting movements and localized stresses during transport. The arrangement of cut potatoes in this manner is also shown.
Abstract:
A palm food processor includes a casing and a knife seat. The casing is composed of an upper cover and a lower cover detachably joined to each other oppositely with a receiving chamber formed between the two covers, a top side of the upper cover having a hand grip part and a bottom of the lower cover having a cover opening. The knife seat provides a size and a shape thereof corresponding to the cover opening for engaging with the cover opening and a bottom thereof having a cutter. Once a hand holds the handgrip part and the cutter contacts a treated food, the treated food can be cut, sliced, peeled or ground into processed products through repeated motions of the food processor and the processed products can be received in the chamber.
Abstract:
In food preparation in which a starting salad of ingredients of a purchased size are reduced to bite-size by dicing, rather than slicing, and use is made of a scissors-type device which uses a cutting knife urged in one direction and a food-supporting scoop urged in an opposite direction to make a chopped salad.
