Abstract:
A rotating and vibrating massage shower nozzle comprised of a first transmission shaft and a flexible transmission cable. The first transmission shaft rotates a drive gear, a driven gear, and a second transmission shaft. The second transmission shaft has a drive ring gear installed on it that impels a bevel gear train or an eccentric cylinder, with the bevel gear train controlling the revolution of a rotary output coupling such that a bathing accessory mounted on it is spun and the imbalanced action of the eccentric cylinder effectively generates vibrations for massage applications.
Abstract:
The invention is a device used for relaxation and for the relief of stress. The device is placed next to a bed on which the subject lies prone. It may be situated on the floor or on a bed side table. An adjustable vertical support column mounted on a base supports a rotatably mounted motor cooperating with a horizontally oriented sweep arm. The sweep arm is equipped with depending “fingers” that make constant contact with the subject's back when the height of the support column is properly adjusted. Different types of “fingers” can be reversibly attached to the sweep arm. The sweep arm moves in a back and forth motion controlled by the rotating motor. A timer enables the device to be turned off automatically so as not to disturb the relaxation of the subject.
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying pressure to a body part comprising: a first sleeve comprising a multiplicity of pressure-applying resilient protrusions configured to apply a therapeutic pressure to a surface of the body part of a patient; and a second sleeve slidably received over the first sleeve, the second sleeve configured to apply a pressure to the first sleeve, thereby increasing the therapeutic pressure applied by the first sleeve on the limb.
Abstract:
Presented are novel instruments intended for use in the diagnosis and treatment of fibrotic soft tissue through soft tissue mobilization therapies performed on, particularly, a human patient. Three such instruments are provided by the invention including a variety of curvilinear and linear tissue-engaging edges and converging surfaces accommodating their use on the irregular contours of numerous soft tissue areas of the human body.
Abstract:
An apparatus for mechanically stimulating a human user includes in one embodiment a base frame, a rigid plate connected to the base frame and having an area sufficient to support a standing human, a vibrational device attached to the bottom of the horizontal plate whereby the plate is caused to oscillate in both vertical and horizontal directions at a desired frequency with an amplitude of less than 2.0 mm, and a frequency control device whereby the frequency of the vertical and horizontal oscillations may be selectively and independently adjusted. Vertically extending handrails are preferably connected to the device such that vibrations may be transmitted to the arms and upper spinal region of a user's body when grasped.
Abstract:
A massage machine for massaging a person's body comprising: a robot hand comprising a first digit and at least one second digit that is opposable to the first digit, wherein the first digit and at least one second digit are moveable towards and away from each other; and at least one digit actuator for moving the first digit towards and away from the at least one second digit to massage a region of the person's body to which at least one of the digits is pressed.
Abstract:
A reciprocally moving apparatus used in a massage machine comprises a long driven shaft having two ends pivotably installed in a base plate and also inserted into a sleeve hole at the lower side of a bottom mount of a massage device. The center section of the driven shaft includes a clockwise helical trench and a counter-clockwise helical trench which are arranged along a surface of the driven shaft and are crossed over one another alternatively and the ends of the two trenches are connected. The upper side of the center section area of the bottom mount serves for installing a cylindrical active link block having a guide plate. The guide plate has two tips at the upper side and inserts into one of the two tracks. Therefore, the driven shaft can be driven to move along the trenches reciprocally.
Abstract:
A chiropractic adjustor apparatus includes a housing having a central interior cavity and a pair of opposite end portions oriented substantially the reverse of one another and extending in opposite directions from the interior cavity and having passages adapted to enhance heat dissipation from the housing, an electromagnetic drive mechanism mounted in the interior cavity of the housing, a force-transmitting shaft extending through the drive mechanism and opposite end portions of the housing and reciprocally supported by the opposite end portions of the housing in a substantially symmetrical relationship to the drive mechanism, an arrangement for actuating the drive mechanism to cause repetitive reciprocal vibratory movement of the shaft along a longitudinal axis thereof and relative to the housing, and a handle attached to the housing for gripping the apparatus.
Abstract:
The purpose of my invention of the foot massaging pad is massaging pressure point device. When used on a standard enamel, acrylic plastic fiberglass and heavy porcelain tub a person massaging their pressure points may sit comfortably in a warm bath placing their feet either the left foot or right foot or both which has pressure points distributed over substantially entire front of the pad. The foot massaging pad's holding means are in the form of integral suction cups formed on the back face to maintain the position of the device in use. My invention can be placed and removed after each use.
Abstract:
An apparatus for massaging toes having a plurality of massaging fingers which provide the massaging effect on and between the toes of a user. The massaging fingers are powered by a drive mechanism means, such as an electric motor and a motion transfer apparatus.
