    摘要: The invention concerns a device including at least a plurality of ionizing corona-effect electrostatic precipitators including emissive and collecting electrodes. The number of electrostatic precipitators is defined on the basis of a flux to be treated, considering that the slower the passage, the more efficient the collection is, and the less the electrodes converted into resistors are cooled by the flux. The collecting electrodes, which are smooth and tubular, are alternately collectors and electric resistor, and therefor they are heated over short periods, at a temperature sufficient for incinerating or burning the collected particles. The emissive electrodes are centered in the collecting structures. The electrodes are axial relative to the direction of the passage of the flux to be treated in the collecting electrodes and can be complementary to other electrodes in the form of beams perpendicular to the direction of the flux, gases and mists to be treated. Other devices can be associated therewith, such as oxidation catalysts, pre-filters, after filters or other devices enabling reduction of gaseous, solid and liquid pollutants and noise attenuation. The inventive device is designed, but not exclusively, for filtering and regenerating engine exhaust gases, oil and water mists, fumes, intake air, extraction or recycling, and generally all pollutants harmful to the environment.

A dust collecting electrode of the dust collector is combined with a heater for self-cleaning. An opening, which communicates the air path located behind the heat exchanger with the outside, is provided above the dust collector. An open-and-close valve, which is closed during the air conditioning operation and opened in the case where the air cleaning operation is carried out while the air conditioning operation is stopped, is provided at the opening. The dust collector does not interrupt the flow of air during the air conditioning operation and also in the case where the air cleaning operation is carried out while the air conditioning operation is stopped.

    摘要: An improved hot-side electrostatic precipitator is provided which more efficiently removes particulates such as fly ash from gases by substantially decreasing the occurrence of back corona discharge. The improved hot-side electrostatic precipitator is based upon the discovery that back corona discharge occurs primarily, if not entirely, in the accumulated particle layer in those sections of the collection plates having a temperature low enough to initiate back corona discharge.Based on this recognition, the corona electrodes and collection plates of the present invention define an upper laterally extending primary operating region having a temperature substantially throughout that is greater than a first value and having at least a portion with a localized electric field strength in the primary operating region greater than a second value, and a lower laterally extending secondary operating region having a temperature substantially throughout that is less than the first value and a localized electric field strength substantially throughout that is less than the second value. The first and second values are selected so that the likelihood of back corona discharge is reduced.

    摘要: A pollutant removal/heat exchange apparatus is mounted to a wood burning stove to receive the emission products from the stove. The apparatus comprises a plurality of vertically aligned tubular electrodes which define vertical through passageways. Negatively charged disc-like electrodes are positioned within the tubular electrodes. Partially burned hydrocarbons and moisture in the emission products become negatively charged as they pass through the tubular electrodes to become deposited on the inner surfaces of the tubular electrodes. Ambient air is directed through the passageways between the tubular electrodes to extract heat from the emission products, with the heated air being discharged from the apparatus. The electrostatic precipitation of the material on the tubular electrodes not only removes undesired material from the emission products, but also enhances heat exchange with the ambient air passing through the apparatus.
