    Abstract: A fall arrester includes a holder, rotating drum, braking device, and dust cover. The rotating drum is pivotally provided on and within the holder, and includes a main body and at least one pawl; the main body has an accommodating part to be wound by a cable and a setting part. The pawl is pivotally provided on the setting part, and the braking device is fixed to the holder and between the holder and the setting part. When the rotating drum rotates quickly by pull of the cable, the pawl would pivot and make a part thereof abut against a part of the braking device to stop the rotating drum. The dust cover is fixed to the setting part, and thereby prevents dust from affecting the pawl and the braking device located therein, and thus to enhance safe use thereof.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a rope-lowering device for lowering persons from a building or the like, comprising: an axle arranged to rotate about its longitudinal axis; a first reel connected or connectable to the axle; a second reel connected or connectable to the axle; a brake connected to the axle, which brake is configured to provide a braking force to the axle independent of a direction of rotation; a first rope connected to the first reel to be suspended from the first reel; and a second rope connected to the second reel to be suspended from the second reel, wherein the rope-lowering device is configured such that when both the first and second reels are connected to the axle, paying out one of the first and second rope will automatically cause the other one of the first and second rope to be hauled in.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a rope type elevating device, and more particularly, to a rope type elevating device that can mechanically and safely control the falling speed even if a breakage occurs in the brake being electrically controlled during the elevating and descending operation.
    The rope type lifting device of the present invention comprising an electronic braking device for winding a conveying rope to move the rope up and down by using power, and a mechanical braking device for mechanically moving the conveying rope up and down, characterizes in that the mechanical braking device comprises: an unlocking lever being rotated by an external force within a predetermined rotation range; a connecting portion connected to the unlocking lever and moving forward by a predetermined amount in conjunction with the rotation of the unlocking lever; a rotating body that rotates by the amount of advancement of the connecting portion and adjusts a pressing force applied to the conveying rope; and a stopper for limiting the rotation range of the rotating body and supporting the pressing force applied to the rope by the rotating body.

    Abstract: A rope braking device includes a base, a one-way pulley, a handle, and a clamping part. The base has a guiding slot extends along a curve path. The one-way pulley is disposed on the base and is rotatable in a direction about a rotation center. A distance that is defined from the rotation center to the curve path is variable and has a relative minimum corresponding to a position of the curve path. The handle is pivotally connected to the base and has another guiding slot. The clamping part is slidably disposed in the two guiding slots simultaneously and opposite to the one-way pulley. When the handle pivots to move the clamping part to the position, a rope wound around the one-way pulley is compressed by the one-way pulley and the clamping part, so that the rope is movable in the direction and is unmovable in the reverse direction.

    Abstract: A self-braking pulley is disclosed for controlling a rate of extraction of a tether wound upon the pulley. The pulley includes a spool for receiving a tether, the spool being arranged to rotate about an axle of the pulley as the tether is removed therefrom. The pulley further includes a braking assembly for applying a braking force to the spool and a drive assembly which is engagable with the spool via an engagement member. The engagement member is arranged to rotationally couple the spool with the drive assembly for driving the braking assembly, in dependence of a rate of rotation of the spool about the axle.
