    摘要： An aerobiotic sewage disposal system including a primary comminution or break up chamber wherein gross incoming solids are broken up and partially oxidized as they pass within a fiberglass cone with the bottom of this conical hopper having a circular aerator positioned so as to provide only a thin annular passage so that only minute solid particles may escape the cone compartment after being reduced in size through aerobic action. The secondary treatment is strained through a filter placed around the conical hopper so that , by aerobic action, the biological filtering can be completed. This filter bag is formed of a ''''sandwich'''' of polyester deep pile inner lining with a center of activated charcoal and a outer polyester cloth. The second aerator is placed around the bottom surface of the unit, with the bottom wall of the unit being convex so that minute suspended solids which may pass through the filter bag, would tend to settle around the bottom edge of the unit, and would be agitated by the aerator which is in the lowermost corners of the unit and prevents any accumulation of sludge. A third filter is provided for completing filtration with a weir type pick up being provided for collecting the effluent.

    摘要： A diatomite filter device for cleansing fluid carrying particulate matter in the micron size range comprises a filter housing having top and bottom plates and a manifold beneath the latter. A supply conduit communicates with the manifold and with a valve-controlled diatomite reservoir. Flexible tubular filter bags in the housing have inlet openings at the bottom and are mounted about flanges adjacent inlet openings in the housing bottom plate, the latter being in communication with the manifold for a supply of fluid. Each bag has an interior skeletal frame for preventing bag collapse during a backwash operation and an exterior wire mesh skeletal frame for preventing ballooning of the bag during the filter operation. The assemblies comprising a bag and its two associated skeletal frames are mounted at lower end portions about their flanges by means of clamping rings and, preferably, each flange has a horizontal flange at the top notched to receive lower end portions of the inner skeletal frame. The lower end portions of the bags and the exterior skeletal frames are bent inwardly beneath the horizontal flange and about the mounting flange. The wire mesh of the exterior frame is approximately one-quarter inch square, of stainless steel and, optionally, of epoxy-coated construction.

    摘要： The combination of a disposable open-top filter bag and a holder member therefor for use with a coffee pot or the like. The filter bag has at the laterally opposite sides of the upper mouth portion thereof two transversely extending open-ended channels, the holder member having two arms extending through and slidably engageable with the respective channels, the arms having intermediate portions thereof bent laterally in opposite directions and adapted to spread open the mouth portion of the filter bag when the arms are inserted and slidably moved through the channels. The holder member is formed of a single smooth wire, and has forward and rear portions protruding from the front and rear portions of the bag, the protruding portions being adapted to rest upon the rim (in one embodiment of this invention) of the container with the filter bag freely suspended from the holder member and disposed within the container out of engagement with the walls thereof.

    摘要： A self-cleaning filtering apparatus for use in a material treating system of the type in which treating fluid is recirculated through a treating vessel. The apparatus includes a filtering chamber through which treating fluid flows from a pump to a heat exchanger. A cylindrical perforated filter element in the chamber filters particulate contaminant, such as lint in a textile processing system, onto the element, and a reciprocating cleaning member cleans the contaminant from the surface of the filter element by drawing fluid through an annular slot in a head of the cleaning member, with the fluid being drawn across and through the filter element to remove contaminant therefrom. The contaminant containing fluid is conveyed from the cleaning member back into the treating vessel where it is discharged into a large fabric bag that allows the fluid to filter through into the vessel and obstructs the contaminant for collection in the bag.

    摘要： A warewasher such as a domestic dishwashing machine has a first recirculating path for recirculating wash and rinse fluids through nozzles which spray the fluid onto food ware items in the wash chamber of the warewasher. Fluid is also circulated from the wash chamber through a soil collecting circuit which conducts fluid to a soil collector where soil is filtered from the fluid before it is returned to the wash chamber. The soil collector quickly removes food soil debris from the fluid on its first passage through the soil collecting circuit and holds it for discharge into the warewasher drain system when the fluids are subsequently drained from the warewasher. A drain pump impeller is used to perform the dual functions of draining liquid from the chamber and recirculating fluid through the soil collecting circuit. In its preferred form, liquid passing through the first recirculating path is preliminarily filtered thereby preventing soil particles from being recirculated and redeposited onto the food ware items. In such preferred form of warewasher, soil removed from the ware can only enter the soil collecting circuit, and by being captured on its initial pass, is prevented from being reduced in particle size, thus minimizing turbidity of the water.
