Abstract:
An assembly for dispensing droplets of a viscous medium. The assembly is releasably mountable in a machine using the assembly for providing a substrate with deposits. The assembly comprises an assembly holder having first holding means mating with an assembly support of a docking device of the machine, a nozzle, an eject mechanism connected to the nozzle, a viscous medium container connected to the eject mechanism, an assembly property means holding information about properties of the assembly, and signal interface means. Thus, the assembly is to be regarded as a separate, exchangeable unit.
Abstract:
An improved spreader assembly adapted to be mounted on a vehicle having a tailgate and a bumper. The improved spreader assembly includes a hopper and a retaining arrangement. The hopper has an upper section and a bottom section. The bottom section has a base surface adapted to at least partially rest on a top surface of the bumper. The retaining arrangement includes a band that fits at least about a portion of a front face of the upper section of the hopper. One end of the band is adapted to connect to the vehicle to maintain at least a portion of a back face of the upper section at least closely adjacent to the tailgate of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A pressure sprayer is pressurized automatically with movement of the sprayer and maintains adequate pressure during non-movement to allow the ejection of an amount of liquid before needing re-pressurization. The pressure sprayer includes wheels that allow the pressure sprayer to be mobile. A cam is attached to the axle of the wheels which rotates with the rotation of the axle/wheels. A pressure pump is associated with the cam such that movement of the cam causes the pressure pump to pump liquid from a holding tank to an accumulator or directly to a spray wand in communication with the pump. The liquid may be sprayed (ejected) from the accumulator during both movement (pumping) and non-movement (no pumping) of the sprayer, while the liquid may be directly sprayed from the holding tank only during movement (pumping) thereof. Thus, as the wheels rotate due to moving the pressure sprayer, the cam causes movement of the pressure pump to fill the accumulator with the liquid under pressure. The pressure pump is adapted to obtain liquid from the holding tank and provide that liquid to the pressure accumulator. A relief valve is provided to relieve the buildup of pressure during movement of the wheels when no spraying is taking place.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an inexpensive IC card connector having a mechanism for ejecting an IC card and having an emergency function, wherein, even if a means for automatically unlocking a locking member for ejecting an IC card is disabled due to a fault, the locking member can be unlocked with a simple construction. The IC card connector includes a slide member that is slidable in a direction in which an IC card loaded in and unloaded from a housing is inserted and ejected; a return spring for energizing the slide member in the direction in which the IC card is ejected; a locking member for holding the slide member in the position in which the IC card is loaded, against an energizing force of the return spring; and an unlocking member for unlocking the locking member to move the slide member in the IC card eject direction, wherein the unlocking member abuts the locking member at one end thereof by pressure from the other end thereof to break the engagement between the locking member and the slide member, and returns to its initial position in accordance with the movement of the slide member in the IC card eject direction.
Abstract:
The present invention is an area fogger that uses the exhaust gases and the exhaust heat produced by a 2- or 4-stroke internal combustion engine to convert a liquid chemical into a fog. More particularly, the fogger includes a unique heat distributor that is at least partially placed in the exhaust manifold, e.g., a muffler, and which distributes heat from the exhaust to the liquid chemical to form a fog. The heat distributor contains particulate material that conducts and distributes the heat to the liquid, thereby improving fog formation and effectiveness over existing systems.
Abstract:
A feedstock injector for connection to a source of heated gas comprises a converging channel extending from the upstream end to the downstream end of the injector. A splitting arm extends diagonally within the converging channel, the splitting arm comprising two symmetrically opposed surfaces extending from the inlet to the outlet ends of the converging channel. A feedstock injection passage opens axially at the downstream end of the splitting arm. The gas stream discharged by the injector contacts and entrains the feedstock with improved uniformity.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an assembly for a spaying apparatus (10) which includes a ducting assembly (11) mountable about a fan (24), said ducting assembly (11) includes a plurality of ducts (28) formed by a plurality of vanes (29), each of said vanes (29) has a substantially constant width from a duct inlet (32) to a duct outlet (17, 18); a guide member locatable adjacent the ducting assembly (11) and on which the fan (24) is mountable, said guide member (33a) is shaped to direct fan forced air from the guide member (33a) to the duct inlet (32); and spray supply means (19) for providing ducted air with liquid to form spray.
Abstract:
A crop spraying apparatus includes a self-powered blower mounted on the rear rack of an ATV, with an air manifold extending behind the blower. Left and right spray nozzle assemblies are mounted on respective branches of the manifold, each actuatable either individually or together, so that the spray pattern may be directed to either side or both sides of the ATV. A tank is mounted on the front of the ATV, and a pump delivers pressurized liquid from the tank to a pair of isolation valves at the rear of the ATV. From the valves the solution is fed to injectors, each injector secured in one of the spray nozzles. The blast of air exiting each nozzle breaks up the injected solution into a fine mist that is carried by the air stream to the crops.
Abstract:
A mobile, real-time, closed-loop system and method for delivering an aerosol insecticide spray to a treatment area during a treatment period of time employs a prime mover having a spray nozzle through which an air volume is produced in order to entrain insecticide as particles in an airstream passing out of the nozzle. A particle size detector, weather centers and an electronic controller are used to regulate the amount of insecticide and particle size dependent upon speed of the prime mover and weather conditions at the treatment area.
