摘要: Aerosols can be created by filament stretching and breaking of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids by applying a strain to and stretching the fluid. The fluid is stretched along a strain pathway and forms a fluid filament. The fluid filament is caused to break into droplets that can be harvested to form a mist or aerosol. Such a system for aerosol creation can include a pair of counter-rotating rollers that are positioned adjacent to each other that stretch the fluid or a pair of pistons that move toward and away from each other to stretch the fluid.

摘要: A method and system for on-site aerial dissemination of oxidatively converted particles with substantial atmospheric disposal of the water component of all regulated and defined leachates and regulated and defined wastewaters. These leachates and wastewaters (defined as water containing 2 or more detectable regulated, defined and known contaminants) may include collecting the leachate or wastewater, having multiple contaminating suspended and perhaps precipitated solids therein, and aerially disseminating and disposing of said leachate or wastewater on the site of its generation. The defined leachate or wastewater is directed to an “Integrated Mobile Aerosolization System (IMAS)” having a turbine and being fully integrated and mobile. Thereafter, the mixture is directed from the IMAS and the contaminants aerially disseminated and disposed of over a defined and designated area on the site where the defined leachate or wastewater is created.

摘要: Disclosed herein are a spray nozzle for an attemperator and an attemperator including the spray nozzle. An attemperator according to an embodiment includes: a steam transfer pipe through which steam is transferred; a fixed pipe which is fixed to an outer surface of the steam transfer pipe; and a spray nozzle, which is coupled to the fixed pipe, disposed in the steam transfer pipe and configured to spray cooling water into the steam transfer pipe. The spray nozzle includes, on an outer circumferential surface thereof, at least one support that protrudes toward the fixed pipe. The spray nozzle is spaced apart from the fixed pipe.

摘要: A mist blower with a Venturi housing for spraying water or chemicals onto objects such as livestock, orchards, weed areas or the like. The mist blower includes an air blower having an air discharge opening formed therein. A Venturi housing has its inner end in communication with the air discharge opening. An air discharge housing has its inner end embracing the outer end of the Venturi thereby creating a Venturi gap therebetween. The Venturi housing has a plurality of Venturi openings formed therein. As air is blown through the Venturi housing, the Venturi openings draw additional air into the air being discharged. As air is blown through the air discharge housing, additional air is drawn into the air discharge housing by way of the Venturi gap.

摘要: A method of atomizing a fluid using a pair of counter-rotating rollers including a first roller having grooves, the grooves enclosed by a pair of fins extending away from the first surface and a second roller having channels, the first and second rollers aligned with each other such that the grooves of the first roller mate with the channels of the second roller forming enclosures and nips. The method includes drawing the fluid from a fluid source through the nips, the nips having an upstream side and a downstream side, stretching the fluid between the diverging surfaces of the pair of counter-rotating rollers on the downstream side of the nips to form fluid filaments, and forming fluid droplets from the stretched fluid filaments on the downstream side of the nips between the diverging surfaces of the pair of counter-rotating rollers.

Some aerosol creation systems can include multiple pairs of counter-rotating rollers that are positioned in a circular, oval, or linear pattern. The aerosol creation system with multiple pairs of counter-rotating rollers can generate mist is one or more directions and can be positioned between two concentric rings or linearly, among other configurations.

摘要: A cold spray apparatus for applying a coating of particles to a substrate includes a nozzle assembly having a plurality of inner passages terminating at a common exit. The nozzle assembly includes a particle supply members in communication with the inner passages. The particle supply members supply the particles to flow and accelerate through the inner passages and out of the nozzle assembly via the common exit toward the substrate to be coated thereon. Furthermore, each inner passage includes a laser that emits a laser beam that is transmitted through the inner passage. The laser heats at least one of the particles and the substrate to promote coating of the substrate with the particles.

摘要: A method minimizes emissions while spraying a mixture of a resin composition and a polyisocyanate onto a surface. The resin composition has a hydroxyl content of at least 400 mg KOH/g and includes a blowing agent that is a liquid under pressure, a first polyol, at least one additional polyol other than the first polyol, and optionally a catalyst, surfactant, and water. The mixture is sprayed onto the surface to form a polyurethane foam having a closed cell content of at least 90 percent. The mixture is also sprayed through a spray nozzle at a spray angle corresponding to a control spray angle of from 15 to 125 degrees measured at a pressure of from 10 to 40 psi using water as a standard. The step of spraying produces less than 50 parts of the polyisocyanate per one billion parts of air according to OSHA Method 47.
