    摘要: An assembly for feeding liquid to the inlet port of a gravity feed sprayer. The assembly includes (1) a mixing cup of a known type commonly used to mix paint with solvent that is of stiff polymeric material and bears indicia on its side wall indicating the levels to which a plurality of different liquids should be sequentially poured into the cup to achieve a predetermined ratio between the liquids; (2) a first adapter comprising a central portion having a through opening and a transverse portion including a peripheral part defining a groove along its inner surface adapted for sealing engagement.with a top end of the mixing cup; and (3) a second adapter having a through opening, a first end portion of which second adapter is adapted to releasably engage the inlet port of a gravity feed paint sprayer. A second end portion of the second adapter and the central portion of the first adapter have connector parts adapted for releasable liquid tight engagement between the adapters with their through openings in communication.

    摘要: A dual receptacle aerosol sprayer with a thin, flexible plastic outer receptacle for product and a substantially rigid inner receptacle for propellant seated within the outer receptacle. A closure closes the inner receptacle and contains a valve assembly. Primary propellant and secondary product valves in the valve assembly control flow from the inner and outer receptacles up propellant and product valve stem bores into an actuator having an aspirating nozzle insert with a Venturi constriction. A conduit extends from the valve assembly through the inner receptacle and into the outer receptacle. To avoid propellant overloading and rupture of the outer receptacle, a one-way tertiary valve downstream of the secondary product valve closes on clogging of the actuator discharge outlet to prevent, during actuation, misdirected propellant flow from the actuator and through the stem product bore and the secondary product valve, from entering the outer product-containing receptacle. The valve assembly has a side wall propellant passage positioned between the primary and secondary valves. Propellant pressure filling paths are provided through the valve assembly which exclude filling propellant from passing into product flow paths.

    摘要: An injection spraying system includes a container having a compartment configured to hold a first fluid. A valve body is removably coupled with the container and includes a mixing chamber, an inlet passageway configured to deliver a second fluid to the mixing chamber, a discharge passageway extending from the mixing chamber, a stem compartment communicating with the mixing chamber through a control orifice, and a transition passageway in fluid communication with the stem compartment. Movably disposed within the stem compartment is a metering stem having a tapered nose configured to selectively engage the control orifice. An adjustment knob is mounted to the metering stem such that rotation of the adjustment knob selectively advances and retracts the metering stem within the chamber of the meter tube. A siphoning tube has one end disposed within the compartment of the container and an opposing end in fluid communication with the transition passageway.

    摘要: An aerosol dispenser assembly (1) having a container (2) that contains a liquid product, and a propellant for propelling the liquid product from the container (2). The propellant is a dual phase hydrocarbon propellant, is free of normal butane, and is at most 25% by weight of the contents of the container. A valve (4) is attached to the container (2) for selectively dispensing the liquid product from the container (2) as a mist, the mist having an average particle size of less than 35 &mgr;m (0.0014″), over at least 75% of the life of the dispenser assembly (1). The dispenser assembly (1) is capable of dispensing over 98% by weight of the liquid product from the container (2). A vapor tap (24) is formed in the valve (4) to facilitate thorough mixing of the propellant and the liquid product prior to dispensing, and a valve stem (12) is disposed in the valve (4). The valve stem (12) defines at least one stem orifice (26) for flow of the product during dispensing. The vapor tap (24) has a diameter of about 0.013″ (0.330 mm) to about 0.019″ (0.483 mm). A dispenser cap (16) is mounted on the valve stem (12) for actuating the valve (4) to dispense the liquid product. The dispenser cap (16) defines an exit path (28), through which the liquid product can be dispensed. A breakup bar (30) is positioned in the exit path (28) of the dispenser cap (16) to break up the liquid product in order to reduce the size of the particles before the liquid product is dispensed.

    摘要: The foam marking device of the present invention includes a solution tank with a tube extending upwardly therein. An air line extends from an air pump and into the tank so as to provide air into the tube. The air passes through a porous element so as to create air bubbles. The tube includes an elongated slot that allows foam solution within the tank to enter the tube. The air bubbles generate foam within the upper end of the tube. The foam passes through a homogenizer at the upper end of the tube and then into a foam line for discharge onto the ground. The slot serves dual functions, by allowing solution in the tank to enter the tube and by allowing foam within the tube to enter the tank when the pressure in the foam discharge line exceeds the pressure within the tube.
