    摘要: A method of forming a cylindrical portion of a sheet metal member having a center hole, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of holding a sheet metal material having a boss portion between rotating dies, rotating the sheet metal material with the rotating dies, and pressing a cylindrical portion formed at an outer periphery of the base plate of the sheet metal material by means of a forming roller, thereby forming the cylindrical portion. In the method of forming a cylindrical portion according to the present invention, a force for pressing the cylindrical portion of the sheet metal material by the forming roller, is supported by engagements of the rotating dies engaged with engaged portions disposed on the base plate, thereby never causing a state wherein, against a rod portion of the rotating die, a boss portion of the sheet metal material fitted by the rod portion are strongly pressed, and making it possible to maintain accurately the shape and measurements of the center hole prior to forming the cylindrical portion, even after forming the cylindrical portion.

A plurality of forming rollers (23), which are arranged around the steel tube (4), are rotated round the steel tube axis (X) in the direction (&bgr;) opposite to the direction of rotation for the steel tube (4). The forming rollers 23 are further moved toward the steel tube axis (X) into pressure contact with the steel tube (4), while being moved relatively to the steel tube (4) in the axial direction (A-B) thereof, to draw the steel tube (4) to form a section of reduced diameter. The relative rotation of the steel tube (4) and the forming rollers (23) in the opposite directions (&agr;, &bgr;) increases the relative rotation speed between them and shortens the processing time.

A Circular Flanged Ring is cut along a diameter into Semi-circular Flanged Ring Portions; straight segments including segments with SMACNA T24 Linear Segments are roll formed, assembled into a oval shape within a fixture and welded forming the Oval Flanged Ring. The method of making and the Circular and Oval Flanged Rings are disclosed.

    摘要: The present invention provides a slotting method in which, during production of a metal sheet V-pulley or the like, slitting can be correctly easily performed at an arbitrary position in the thickness direction of an outer peripheral face of a blank. A blank housing recess (5) a depth of which is smaller than the thickness of a disk-like metal blank (1) is formed in an upper face of a lower rotary die (4) on which the blank (1) is to be placed, and a roller die guiding face (6) which is lower in level than an upper face of the blank (1) in the blank housing recess (5) is horizontally formed in an outer periphery of the blank housing recess (5). The slotting roller die (11) has a blade edge (12) on its outer periphery, and, while the slotting roller die is rotated in synchronization with the blank (1) about the roller axis which is inclined with respect to the rotation axis of the upper and lower rotary dies (4), the blade edge (12) is slid on the roller die guiding face (6) in an inward radial direction to be pressed against an outer peripheral portion (10) of the blank (1) which is protruded from the blank housing recess (5), whereby the outer peripheral portion (10) is slit into two parts in the thickness direction to form slotted parts (10a, 10b).
