    摘要: Transport system which makes to transport a wire or sheet of any length and with the required quality to the location of the use of the wire or the sheet. The transport system has a transport platform, a receptacle for the wire or the sheet, wherein the receptacle is configured such that the wire or the sheet may be received coiled on the receptacle, a drive, wherein the drive is configured such that the wire or the sheet may be conveyed by the drive in a transport direction, and a straightening device, wherein the straightening device is configured such that the wire or the sheet can be straightened with the straightening device, wherein the receptacle, the drive and the straightening device are arranged on the transport platform such that the wire or the sheet may be drawn automatically from the receptacle and fed to the straightening device by the drive.

    摘要: A restraint device for use with a vehicular straightening system includes an elongated tether that is connected to a restraining net along a first end, and an anchor connector along a second end. The anchor connector includes functionality for engaging the platform of the straightening system, and the restraining net includes a shape and size that is suitable for encompassing the fastening mechanism of the straightening system. A plurality of net connectors secure the restraining net about the fastening mechanism, and each of the tether, the restraining net and the connectors are constructed from materials having a high tensile strength for resisting a recoil force associated with a breakage of the fastening mechanism when a pulling force is applied thereon.

    摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for cropping the ends of or for separating test pieces from rolled strip wound into bundles. An apparatus is disclosed which, by means of an outwardly pivotable bottom roller (2) and guide devices (5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14) for guiding the strip end to the shears, also makes it possible to process strips which are thicker or of greater firmness and are wound into bundles (10). Furthermore, a method is specified, which allows a reliable sampling and, if appropriate, inspection of the sample from strips wound into bundles, a closed bundle being obtained again after sampling.

    摘要: A process for straightening a crossbar of an anode to correct the suspension of the anode while the anode remain in an electrolytic cell. The process has an elongated shaft having a lower portion and an upper portion. A transverse slot extends longitudinally upward into the lower portion of the shaft. The slot has sufficient width to receive an upper portion of the crossbar. A handle is attached to the upper portion of the shaft. The handle extends laterally outward from the shaft. The handle is for twisting the shaft to cause the slot to straighten twisted crossbars within the slot.

    摘要: A method for stretch shaping an elongated metallic extrusion is disclosed comprising the steps of applying axial tension to an elongated metallic extrusion in an amount sufficient to equal or exceed the yield strength of the extrusion. An external shaping die is applied against a perimetric portion of the outside surface of the extrusion. The die has working faces conforming substantially to a finished cross-sectional shape for the extrusion. While maintaining such tension the die is advanced along a length of the extrusion. An apparatus for stretch shaping an elongated metallic extrusion is also disclosed.

    摘要: An apparatus for stretching an extruded length of metal comprises a plurality of sets of tailstock jaws mounted at fixed positions in line with and spaced from each other, and a set of headstock jaws mounted in line with the sets of tailstock jaws and movable towards and away from the sets of tailstock jaws by a motor. The sets of tailstock jaws are individually controlled by respective sensors which when energized emit a signal in response to the presence of the trailing end of an extruded length of metal travelling past the sets of tailstock jaws, and the sensor signal actuates closure of the associated tailstock jaws on the trailing end of the extruded length.
