Abstract: Described embodiments are directed toward centrally-opening leaflet prosthetic valve devices having a leaflet frame and a mechanically coupled leaflet. The described leaflet frames have projections that are configured to couple with a leaflet attachment region of a leaflet. Some embodiments include a leaflet retention feature that engages the leaflet frame projections and operates to secure the leaflet to the leaflet frame. Methods of making and using such prosthetic valve devices are also described.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for altering functioning of a tissue/organ by application of force thereto. In one preferred embodiment, a device for reducing or preventing regurgitation of blood through a valve of a heart is provided. A device may include a main body having a segment adapted to apply force to a surface of tissue/organ and a member that applies counterforce to the force applied by the segment. Kits are provided in which devices having varying lengths and widths can be selected for the best fit for a particular location of treatment. A width sizing instrument may be provided. A length sizing instrument may be provided. A separate sleeve and/or pad may be provided which may be first anchored to the tissue/organ before fixing the device thereto.

Abstract: The present invention provides a prosthetic heart valve device that has a frame, and a leaflet assembly having a plurality of leaflets that are secured to the frame. The frame is defined by an annular body and has three spaced-apart commissure regions, each commissure region having a commissure post extending from a proximal outflow end of the frame. A first clipping arm and a second clipping arm extend from opposite sides of each commissure post, each clipping arm extending from each commissure post at an obtuse angle with respect to each commissure post. Each clipping arm has a free end with a tip provided at the free end. The body has a first diameter at a location where the tips of the clipping arms are located, and the tips of the clipping arms extend away from define a second diameter, with the second diameter being greater than or equal to the first diameter.

Abstract: The present application relates to a separately releasable aortic valve stent, which includes a valve sewing segment, a positioning member, and a prosthetic valve. Abstract: A method for endovascularly replacing a patient's heart valve including the following steps: endovascularly delivering an anchor and a replacement valve supported within the anchor to a vicinity of the heart valve in a collapsed delivery configuration, the anchor having grasping elements adapted to grasp tissue in a vicinity of the heart valve; expanding the anchor, thereby rotating the grasping elements; and grasping the tissue with the rotating grasping elements.

Abstract: Provided is a flexible stent with which it is possible to further improve visibility of an impermeable member which is disposed upon a stent and to further improve operability of the stent. Provided is a flexible stent 11, comprising: a plurality of ring-shaped pattern bodies 13 which have a wavy line-shaped pattern and are positioned side by side in an axial direction LD; and a plurality of connecting elements 15 which connect the adjacent ring-shaped pattern bodies 13. When viewed in a radial direction RD which is perpendicular to the axial direction LD, a ring direction CD of the ring-shaped pattern bodies 13 is or is not oblique with respect to the radial direction RD. A plurality of impermeable members 31 which are highly impermeable to radiation are disposed upon and/or positioned in proximity to struts which configure the ring-shaped pattern bodies 13 and/or the connecting elements 15. The plurality of impermeable members 31 are arrayed regularly along one or more of the ring direction CD, an axial direction LD, or a circumference direction of the flexible stent.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a compound three-dimensional surgical implant and methods of forming and using the same. The compound three-dimensional surgical implant includes a grip-type knit mesh defining pores and including a plurality of spiked naps extending from a surface the grip-type knit mesh, a prosthetic knit mesh defining principal cells and peripheral cells being layered on the grip-type knit mesh such that at least a portion of the spiked naps grip at least a portion of the cells of the prosthetic knit mesh. The grip-type knit mesh and the prosthetic knit mesh are folded together into a predetermined three-dimensional structure such that at least a portion of the spiked naps grip at least a portion of the pores of the grip-type knit mesh to hold the three-dimensional structure of the surgical implant.
