摘要: The disclosure relates to an improvement in multiple spindle, single drive, rotary indexing machine tool systems. The basic machine comprises a fixed circular base and a central, upwardly projecting column. An indexing circular worktable is mounted on the base, for incremental, rotary indexing movements about the central column. The worktable carries a number of rotatable, work-holding chucks or spindles, which are progressively indexable with the worktable from a loading station progressively through a series of rotationally displaced work positions. Pursuant to the invention, one of the work stations is arranged to be mechanically independent of the primary machine drive and is provided with a tool slide with independent, numerically controlled motors for X and Y axis tool movement, and a third independent motor for spindle rotation. The three motors at the final work station are coordinated by a computerized numerical control system, in itself of a known design, so that the final finish machining step may include a variety of operations not otherwise possible, such as complex contouring, threading, and the like. Additionally, the CNC controlled machining operations may be carried out in a manner to override the machining tolerance limitations which are otherwise inherent in the basic nature of the multiple spindle, rotary indexing type machine tool system.

摘要: A vertical multiple-spindle machine relating to metal cutting machines. This machine comprises a stationary column on which is installed a rotary worktable mounting hydraulic clamping devices and provided with fluid inlet ducts. The stationary column is provided with passages for feeding fluid medium to he hydraulic clamping devices through said ducts, with the worktable in a fixed position. The column is also provided with a circular groove which is arranged to communicate with the fluid source and is formed so that it has portions curved about the outlets from the passages whereby said groove connects the worktable fluid ducts with the fluid source during the rotation of the worktable. This constructional arrangement makes it possible to materially reduce fluid leakage, thereby providing stability of the required fluid pressure in the clamping devices, improving the accuracy of the machine and decreasing waste of power.

摘要: Cutting tool made as gang tools is located round the rotor and is fixed in position on the machine bed. The rotor that carries work spindles imparted rotation at a cutting speed from the main motion drive through the central gear wheel, has a rotativemotion drive of its own to impart circular feed motion. The circular feed motion drive of the rotor comprises the selfbraking single-worm gear whose worm wheel is positively locked-in with the rotor, while the worm is kinematically assocated with the central gear wheel so that, regardless the direction of the rotor rotation, the tooth contact in the single-worm gear remains unaffected with the result that high rigidity of the system ''''tool-spindle-rotor'''' is established in the course of cutting.

摘要: In order to improve a machine tool comprising a machine frame with an underframe and a machine column seated on this and having a support ring, a support mounted on the support ring for rotation about an essentially vertical axis, several workpiece receiving chucks for workpieces to be machined arranged on the support, an operating area extending around the vertical axis, and a plurality of stations arranged on the machine frame in the region of the operating area, the workpiece receiving chucks being positionable in these stations during a machining cycle, such that the machine frame has as great a rigidity as possible with as expedient a construction as possible it is suggested that the machine column have a reinforcement casing fixing the support ring in relation to the underframe, this casing extending outside the operating area and surrounding it at least partially, that the reinforcement casing comprise casing supporting structure elements which are located in a casing surface extending around the vertical axis, absorb forces acting in this casing surface and transferred from the support ring in a manner rigid against deformation and are connected with one another to form a casing surface supporting structure rigid against deformation.

摘要: The machine tool bas a combined slide which is formed of partial slides and is movable in the X direction on two linear guides by means of guide carriages. The two partial slides are supported directly relative to one another by support guides and can be moved in the X direction relative to one another in order to carry out a correcting adjustment or a feed movement. Each partial slide supports a vertical spindle which is movable in the Z direction. A joint multiple turret is associated with the vertical spindles, this multiple turret being outfitted with tools associated with the two tool spindles. The vertical spindles and the partial slides have separate driving units which can be controlled by corresponding control devices in such a way that the vertical spindles and the partial slides are displaceable jointly and synchronously or asynchronously on the one hand and are displaceable relative to one another on the other hand in order to carry out a correcting adjustment or a feed movement. Due to the relative displacement of the partial slides in the X direction and the vertical spindles in the Z direction, tolerances and deviations due to wear of the cutting edges can be compensated for so that the workpieces to be machined simultaneously have the same adjustment with respect to the tool cutting edges The relative displacement also permits a separate, varying machining of the workpieces.

摘要: A dual vertical spindle turning machine for simultaneously machining workpieces chucked on the respective spindles having a horizontally movable dual tool assembly including independent side-by-side tool slides, and independent drive motors for simultaneously moving the tool slides along a horizontal slideway of a vertically movable main slide. The tool slides have clearance therebetween to enable independent adjustment of either one or both of the tools by incremental energization of either one or both of the tool slide drive motors.
