摘要: A method of manufacturing a multi-core ferrule, in which method a plurality of flat-surface metal sheets 2 containing a plurality of apertures 1 of the same size are laminated and fixed together. The plurality of apertures 1 before subjected to lamination and fixing are designed to be in positions and to have diameters such that they communicate with one another to be capable of forming a cavity, whereby the resulting ferrule is highly accurate in diameter and positions of the pores and is applicable to multi-core connectors, devices and so on.

摘要: A heat pipe shaping device comprises a rectangular table, and each lateral surface of the table has a work station. The top plate of the table is elevated by a plurality of supporting rods at a periphery of the table. A vacuum manifold is connected to the top plate. Thereby, the vacuum manifold is connected to a vacuum pump. A welding gun is positioned at the top plate so that the welding gun is connected to a welding machine. Each work station is connected to a surface of the rotary disk on the table and the rotary disk is driven by a motor in the table. Each work station on the rotary disk has an supporter. A top of each supporter is installed with a pressing unit and a cutting unit. One end of the vacuum manifold is installed with a clamping unit for clamping a heat pipe to pump into a vacuum condition,. The heat pipe is then pressed to seal the opening, and the distal end is cut by the cutting unit, and finally, the opening is spot-welded. The vacuum manifold and the welding gun are positioned above the alternative spaced work stations for performing the operations of clamping a heat pipe, pumping to a vacuum, pressing and cutting, spot-welding, releasing the holding unit.

摘要: A new and improved door construction and method of manufacturing same are advantageously provided. The door includes first and second formed door panels, each having an identical or substantially similar L-shaped profile defined by an elongated back portion and a relatively shorter base portion. The first and second formed door panels are placed in opposed nesting relation so that the back portions and the base portions are arranged in opposed facing relation to each other. A hollow region is thus defined by and between the first and second formed door panels. The panels are temporarily held in alignment to each other in this relationship by an adhesive, preferably through use of a suitable internal core material secured between the panels by the adhesive. The panels are thereafter permanently joined by laser welding performed along first and second seams. In particular, the first seam is formed at the abutment of the base of the first panel with the back of the second panel, and the second seam is formed at the abutment of the base of the second panel with the back of the first panel. The first seam is disposed along a first lateral edge of the door construction immediately adjacent the back portion of the second panel. The second seam is disposed along a second lateral edge of the door construction immediately adjacent the back portion of the first panel.

摘要: A method of constructing an earth-boring bit provides a face seal assembly with a diamond layer having a face with recesses for enhanced lubrication. The earth-boring bit has a bit body, at least one cantilevered bearing shaft, including a base and a cylindrical journal bearing surface extending inwardly and downwardly from the bit body, and at least one cutter mounted for rotation on the cylindrical journal bearing surface of the bearing shaft. The seal assembly is disposed between the cylindrical journal bearing surface and the cutter proximally to the base of the cantilevered bearing shaft. The seal assembly includes at least one rigid seal ring having a seal face in contact with a second seal face. At least one of the seal faces is at least partially formed of a super-hard material having wear-resistance greater than, and a coefficient of sliding friction less than, that of the rigid seal ring material. The super-hard layer is deposited on a substrate that has a face finished with a shape that is the inverse of the desired contour on the seal face. The super-hard layer is then separated from the substrate, resulting in a face with the desired contour. The diamond layer is then attached to the rigid seal ring.

摘要: A method for creating a hot melt foamed form for an air induction system. A block of thermal mastic elastomer is melted and blended with nitrogen gas to create a foamed material. The foamed material is applied by robotic techniques over a base material on the surface of a polypropylene glass lower shell. After the foamed material cures, a polypropylene glass cover is applied over the foamed material form to create an air tight dust/water seal. The cover does not adhere to the cured foamed material and is removable when service is necessary. The foam material can also be dispensed into a mold and then transferred to the base, allowing for changes in the shape and profile of the foamed material. This method can also be employed to create an isolation pad on an air induction system to absorb engine shock. The thermal mastic elastomer can also be employed to create a seal between the cover neck of an air induction assembly and a mass air flow sensor.

摘要: In manufacturing a fuel inlet, bulge forming and bend processing are conducted to a stainless pipe which will serve as an inlet pipe. Next, one end of the stainless pipe is eccentrically expanded, and the hardened portion is removed. After the pipe expanding step is finished, boring processing is conducted so that a breather pipe can be inserted into the inlet pipe, a guide is spot-welded to the inside of the eccentrically expanded portion, and a screw structure is formed. The inlet pipe and the breather pipe are degreased and cleaned as a pretreatment for brazing, and brazing is conducted by using BAg-4 (Low-temperature brazing material) at a temperature of 750-850° C. Removing of the flux and cleaning are conducted as a post-treatment for brazing, and finally coating is conducted.

摘要: We combine superplastic forming (SPF) with adhesive bonding (AB) to produce quality multisheet sandwich panel structures, especially those using a superplastic aluminum alloy, such as Al 2004, Al 8090, or Al 1570. We produce the parts with improved energy efficiency and at lower cost. We heat the multisheet pack having an adhesive, preferably a polyimide, between the core sheets and the face sheets to its superplastic forming range. Then, we superplastically form the pack to define adhesive bonds between the sheets in the core and between the core and the face sheets with the flowing adhesive. Finally, we cool the formed pack below the superplastic range to set the adhesive.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a body, preferrably an automotive vehicle body, to have a plurality of coating layers, starts with assembling the body out of parts made from pre-coated metal. A pretreatment step provides for paint adhesion and/or corrosion protection for cut edges, weld spots or metal finished areas. A powder paint base coat is then applied onto the pre-coated metal of the vehicle body. The pre-coat layer is one of the plurality of coating layers and the powder paint base coat is another one of the plurality of coating layers. In another embodiment, the powder paint base coat is applied in two steps, a first powder paint base coat and a color powder paint base coat. The first powder paint base coat is applied to a first portion of the vehicle body and the color powder paint base coat is applied to a second portion of the vehicle body. Unused first powder paint base coat and unused color powder paint base coat are both reclaimed, mixed, and the mixture used for at least some of the first powder paint base coat applied to the first portion of the vehicle body.
