    摘要： A computerized method for determining a tilt parameter of a cutting head of a fluid-jet apparatus. The method includes receiving a target-piece shape, describing an ordered path defining the target-piece shape, and segmenting the path into small straight lines of approximately equal length. The method further includes determining a cutting-head translation speed for each of the small straight lines, determining a tilt parameter of the cutting head with respect to the plane of the workpiece in response to the speed and a fluid jet-shape parameter for each of the small straight lines, storing the small straight lines and the determined tilt parameter associated with each small straight line in a memory, and sending the stored data to the fluid-jet apparatus. The method may include controlling the tilt of the cutting head in accordance with the tilt parameter for each small straight line as the cutting head cuts the workpiece.

    摘要： A ram guidance system for a stamping press is provided including an outer bush mounted to a portion of the stamping press. The outer bush has a central passageway sized and arranged so that a reciprocating ram extends through the passageway. An inner bush is coaxially mounted to the outer bush and a portion of the rod, with an anti-friction bearing assembly positioned between the outer bush and the inner bush so as to guide their relative movement. In another embodiment of the invention, a metal stamping system for operating a die set is provided that includes an outer bush mounted to a portion of the stamping press. The outer bush includes a passageway sized and arranged so that a ram extends through the passageway so as to be enclosed by the outer bush. An inner bush is coaxially mounted to (i) the outer bush and (ii) a portion of the ram, with an anti-friction bearing assembly positioned between the outer bush and the inner bush so as to guide their relative movement. Tie rods may be used to form a supporting structure of the press.

    摘要： Centering device for use with the spindle of a machine tool. There is provided a centering device for application to the spindle of a machine tool in which the feeler of the centering device is pivotal through a plane substantially radial of such spindle, and the deflections resulting from inaccuracies in the shaft or hole being examined are transmitted to an indicator. In the invention, the measuring range and accuracy of the device are increased by spacing the axis of the feeler radially and fixedly from the projected axis of such spindle. Other features include the transmission of forces through perpendicularly positioned rollers fixed respectively into adjacent levers. A further feature includes a locking device comprising a pin projecting into an opening in one of said levers with an enlargement of said openings surrounding said pin when same is in its inactive position to avoid damage thereto by excessive movement of the feeler and resulting movement of the lever.
