    摘要： A saw device for split sawing of elongated timber elements has at least two upright post elements horizontally spaced from each other, each of which in a lower portion is adapted to support the saw device. An elongated, lying guide beam is supported in the upper portions of the post elements and is adapted to displaceably carry a saw assembly along the longitudinal extent of the guide beam. Each of at least two lying timber carriers projects perpendicular from and are displaceable in height along a respective post element. Each of the timber carriers is formed as a console beam which is upwards and downwards displaceable and unturnably connected with the respective post element, and is displaceable by a rotatable threaded rod which is rotatably beared in the post element, extends in its height and engages a threaded hole in the rear portion of the timber carrier.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for converting a portable band saw to an upright stationary table band saw includes a stand having a base, at least one vertically extending side wall, and a top. A work piece support surface can include an opening through which one run of a closed loop saw blade of the portable band saw can pass when the portable band saw is mounted in a supporting relationship with respect to the stand. A switch mounted on the stand operates the portable band saw independent of the finger trigger on the handle. The on/off switch is connected to a plug engaged by the portable band saw when mounted in the stand. The plug is engagable within a socket of the band saw and is electrically connected to bypass the finger trigger of the portable band saw and to create a circuit through the on/off switch.

    摘要： A circle cutting device for selectively rotatably retaining a workpiece in a jigsaw permits a user of the circle cutting device to cut accurate circles with the jigsaw. The circle cutting device includes an elongated track secured to the jigsaw, and further includes a housing having an upper portion slidably adjustably attached to the elongated track for location at a preselected position and a lower portion with a centrally located opening therein. A pin is positioned in the centrally located opening of the lower portion of the housing and extends a predetermined distance from the opening for selectively engaging a workpiece and maintaining the workpiece in a preselected position in relation to the jigsaw, thereby providing a pivot point for rotatably retaining the workpiece in the jigsaw so as to permit the user of the jigsaw to accurately cut circles from the workpiece. A spring is located within the housing between the upper shoulder portion of the housing and the thumbscrew, biasing the pin downwardly onto the workpiece and a pin is located in the lower portion of the housing for securing the pin within the housing at a predetermined distance.

    摘要： A cutting guide for use during cutting of work pieces, and especially flexible materials such as foam rubber and the like to insure precise, accurate arcs or curved paths in the work pieces. The guide includes a rotatable plate having an adjustable pivot assembly providing an axis or center of rotation with respect to a base or other support and upstanding, adjustably spaced, support walls which position the work piece for cutting. The base may be a portable plate or the table of a cutting apparatus such as a band saw or the like such that, in either case, the work piece may be supported adjacent a cutting tool such as a band saw blade or the like. The rotatable plate is rotated to move the work piece toward the cutting tool in a precise, controlled arc while the plate and support walls prevent the work piece from moving out of position. Apparatus for remote positioning of the pivot axis may be included.

The spacing of the parallel guide with which the follower is guidingly engaged from the blade of the saw determines the radius of curvature of the arcuate cut to be made.
