    摘要: The method can include obtaining a digital image of a wood board having a defect, the digital image including a representation of the defect; using a computer: mapping the position and shape of the representation of the defect, and generating blasting instructions based on the mapped position and shape; positioning the wood board in a given position in a cleaning station, the cleaning station having a blasting nozzle and holding the wood board in its coordinate system; and the cleaning station automatically moving the blasting nozzle relative to the wood board and blasting the defect based on the blasting instructions, including moving at least one of the blasting nozzle and the wood board relative to a frame of the cleaning station.

    摘要: In known methods of preservative or upgrading heat treatment of wood, the starting material (2) is subjected to a selection process in order to select out wood with defects (6) (knots, cracks, resin ducts). A not inconsiderable part of the starting material is hereby not used to obtain thermally preserved wood. According to the invention the defects (6) are sawn out of the starting material, whereafter the remaining defect-free parts (14-1) are once again combined by finger jointing to form larger parts (16). The thus jointed wood structures (16) can be further assembled by lamination into even larger wood structures, the laminated wood structures (18). These can be applied particularly well as exterior cladding or as window or door frame in the building industry.

    摘要: An archiving file system is specifically designed to support the storage of, and access to, remote files stored on high speed, large capacity network data servers. The archiving file system automatically archives remote files across multiple types of secondary storage media on such network data servers based on a set of hierarchically selectable archival attributes selectively assigned to each remote file. The archiving file system is completely transparent to the user program and operates on remote files by providing a different file control program and a different file structure on the network data server, without the need to modify the standard file system that is native to a particular operating system program executing on the user nodes or the standard network file interfaces executing on the distributed computer network environment.

    摘要: A device for cutting truncated dowels from a board, with a device including a one-piece cutting body shaped as a hollow cylinder and having a concentric clamping shank. The cutting body is provided with only one recess which forms a knife edge, with the recess opening toward a front of a cutting body and merging into a wider dowel ejection opening. The cutting body has an inside annular cutting edge which determines the larger outside diameter of the truncated dowel to be cut and from which the knife edge originates. The inside circumferential surface of the jacket tapers conically toward the clamping shank, and the knife edge is inclined obliquely inwardly in accordance with the conicity of the inside circumferential surface.

    摘要: An improved wood debris clearing device and method for a cutoff saw is provided. The device includes a conveyor having upstream and downstream sections separated by a gap where cutting occurs along a conveyance path. A deflecting mechanism including two blowers, perpendicularly oriented with respect to the conveyance path, direct air streams across the conveyance path. Cutoff wood debris is deflected off an inner wall of a hood into a receptacle, thus preventing the debris from reaching the downstream section of the conveyor and minimizing the likelihood of machine jamming.

The improved automatic cutoff saw includes an overhead belt conveyor including a first belt for starting, stopping and advancing the board in frictional engagement therewith over a substantial length both upstream and downstream from a crosscut saw station, as well as a second belt conveyor disposed beneath the first belt conveyor near an infeed region of the crosscut saw station for engaging the underside of the board during its advancement through therethrough. One of a pair of rollers disposed on a pivotal arm of the overhead belt conveyor, the arm being pivoted by tension in the first belt, is urged into a position whereby a board, which may be of scant height, nevertheless is positively, frictionally engaged by both belt conveyors at least during the critical infeed phase of the board-advancing operation.

    摘要: An improved wood patch, in combination with a slot formed in a blemished wooden surface, and apparatus and method of manufacture thereof. The improved wood patch has, where the wooden surface to be repaired is horizontal, three faces: a flat horizontal exterior face, a flat vertical interior face, and an angled arcuate interior face. The patch has both a larger vertical radius of curvature and a larger angle between the flat vertical interior face and the angled arcuate interior face than the slot. Apparatus for manufacture includes a router utilizing a double router bit having a straight cutting edge oriented perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the bit and an angled cutting edge oriented at an angle to the straight cutting edge. Both relative longitudinal and transverse movement between the wood stock and the double router bit are created by the router being installed on a pneumatically actuated pivoting platform attached to a carriage which is engaged to a longitudinal track, with the router having a cam follower which engages a cam having a series of lobes formed in the shape of the curved intersection of the flat interior face and the arcuate interior face of the wood patch. A series of curved scallop-like protrusions are created on the wood stock which protrusions are subsequently removed by a separate cutting blade, mounted on the carriage behind the double router bit. Utilizing the proper cam, an elongated patch may be formed for a longitudinal series of blemishes on a wooden surface.
