摘要： An apparatus for forming and producing elongated threads or filaments of synthetic material such as fluorocarbon resins which can be used to form yarns utilizes, a turning machine having, a chuck assembly for mounting a billet of the fluorocarbon resin material therein, and a lead screw assembly with a tool holder assembly thereon. The lead screw assembly is disposed to move a cutting tool in the tool holder assembly longitudinally and parallel to the axes of rotation of the billet so that a plurality of cutting edges on the end cutting face of the cutting tool can cut simultaneously from the billet a corresponding plurality of sized, shaped and dimensioned threads or filaments which can be combined and formed into the desired yarn. Means are provided to synchronize the movement of the cutting tool with the rotation of the fluorocarbon resin billet.Additionally, the apparatus and method as above described wherein a plurality of spaced cutting tools are disposed for simultaneous engagement of the billet each adapted to cut threads or filaments therefrom.

摘要： Method of making slabs of building material which can be used in place of slabs of compact marble are prepared by lining at least one surface of a mold with bonding material, introducing into the mold pieces of solid material to form an aggregate of individual pieces of said solid material with interstices therebetween, filling these interstices with bonding material which chemically bonds to the bonding material utilized for lining, allowing the bonding material to cure and harden to form a solid block of lined material, removing the solid block of lined material from the mold and slicing said block to desired size.

摘要： Apparatus for molding curd in calibrated portions, a mixture of curds and whey, introduced into a hopper, fills perforated tubes in which the whey is separated from the curd and becomes compact. A plate closing off the base of the tubes retracts periodically and the curd drops abruptly by a predetermined height onto a subjacent plate, which is sliced by the first plate returning to its original position. The slices of curd are then transferred into one of the molds with a plurality of cells. This is applicable to the manufacture of cheeses of small size.

A table carries the block past a band knife running in slits in a transverse supporting beam which is vertically adjustable. The band knife which forms an endless loop, runs in a slit along one edge of the beam, is twisted and returned through a slit in the other edge of the beam. The band knife cuts the block during each passage, back or forth, of the table.

摘要： A method of producing threads and fibers of synthetic materials uses a cylindrically-shaped body of the synthetic material which is allowed to rotate against a scratching tool and a peeling knife arranged to follow the scratching tool in the direction of rotation. The peeled-off curtain of parallel threads is stretched, possibly while being simultaneously heated, and possibly the threads are cut to form a staple fiber or are ground to a short-staple floccule. A device for carrying out the aforementioned method, has a turning mechanism, a foil-peeling knife secured to a carriage of the turning mechanism, and a scratching tool arranged to precede the peeling knife.

摘要： A flexible sheet material shaped article comprises a thermoplastic material having a plurality of spaced breathing apertures extending through the thickness thereof, each breathing aperture filled with a porous fibrous material. The flexible sheet material shaped article is formed by utilizing a vertical mold, and hanging a plurality of spaced strands of porous fibrous material from the top of the mold. The mold has a plan or cross-sectional shape corresponding to the shape of the article being provided. The mold is then filled with liquid thermoplastic material, and after cooling a slab of thermoplastic material with strands of fibrous material is produced. The slab is then sliced in a dimension perpendicular to the dimension in which the strands extend, and to the desired thickness to provide the flexible sheet material shaped article.
