摘要: A system for simultaneously producing immersive visual effects on an inside of an enclosure and passive visual effects to be viewed from the outside of the enclosure. The enclosure includes a plurality of sidewalls each having a reflective inner surface facing one other. The system includes a digital video display positioned to direct digital video imagery through the semi-reflective sidewall and into the enclosure. Light of the digital video imagery reflects off the reflective inner surfaces of plurality of sidewalls, which allow a percentage of the light to leave the enclosure, making the visual effects observable from the outside. The light will continue this cycle of reflection and transmission, creating an observable infinity effect from the outside, and an entirely enclosed visual experience from the inside.

As a result, the brightness of the light in the proximity of the light emitting device (14) of the surface shaped illuminating light output by a light emitting surface member (3) can be suppressed, and the brightness of light of a central part (position furthest away from the light emitting device (14)) of the surface shaped illuminating light output by the light emitting surface member (3) can be increased.

摘要: A direct type backlight module includes a bezel, a light source, a reflecting plate and least one buffering liner plate. The bezel includes a bottom plate and a plurality of sidewalls connected to the bottom plate, and defines a receiving space therein. Each of the sidewalls includes a connecting portion and an extending portion. One end of the connecting portion is connected to the bottom plate, and the extending portion extends from another end of the connecting portion. The light source and the reflecting plate are disposed within the receiving space. The reflecting plate includes a stopping portion and a reflecting potion disposed between the light source and the bezel. The stopping portion extends outwardly from the reflecting portion and is fixed on the corresponding extending portion. The buffering liner plate is disposed on at least one of the extending portion and adjoins to an edge of the stopping portion.

The signage includes a turning film having a structured surface for redirecting light in order to passively illuminate a printed graphic or shaped sign when the backlight is off. In the shaped sign, the shape provides the content, such as letters, to be conveyed to the viewer instead of a graphic. The signage can be actively illuminated when the backlight is on to supplemental the passive illumination.
