Abstract: A vehicle for projecting holograms is described. The vehicle may include a plurality of Integrated Holographic Camera Modules (IHCMs) configured to project movable holograms. The vehicle may further include a vehicle processor communicatively coupled to the plurality of IHCMs. The vehicle processor may obtain a recording of a movable hologram from a first IHCM and determine a hologram movement from the recording. The vehicle processor may further switch a projection of the movable hologram from the first IHCM to a second IHCM when a predefined criterion is met. The vehicle processor may determine that the predefined criterion is met when the projection moves from a first IHCM projection range to a second IHCM projection range.

The camera adapter may include first and second processors that are configured to convert analog audio and/or video signals from the analog camera into digital audio and/or video signals and transmit the digital signals to the digital recording unit through the first cable. The camera adapter may be configured to supply power from the digital connection port of the digital recording unit to the camera port of the analog camera.

Abstract: An adaptive camera system for a vehicle, including a plurality of camera arrangements each including at least one camera unit, wherein each camera arrangement is arranged on the vehicle and configured to have respective different optical properties to cover a respective different field of view and/or to have a respective different spectral response. The plurality of camera arrangements are adapted to be connected in data-communication to an image processor configured to receive image data from the camera arrangement. The system further includes a camera arrangement selector configured to receive driving-status data pertaining to an actual status of the vehicle. The camera arrangement selector is adapted to select from the plurality of camera arrangements, using the driving-status data, at least one preferred camera arrangement for being connected in data-communication to the image processor. A data-communication connection to the image processor is restricted to the at least one preferred camera arrangement.

Abstract: A method for generating an unobstructed bowl view of a vehicle that includes obtaining a plurality of images from a plurality of cameras disposed on the vehicle and determining a plurality of depth fields. The method further includes detecting a plurality of distorted objects in the plurality of images with a first machine-learned model that assigns a class distribution to the detected distorted object and estimating a distance of each distorted object from its associated camera using the plurality of depth fields. The method further includes assigning an object weight to each distorted object in the plurality of distorted objects and removing at least one distorted objects from the plurality of images. The method further includes replacing each of the at least one removed distorted objects with a representative background generated by a second machine-learned model and stitching and projecting the plurality of images to form the unobstructed bowl view.

Abstract: An apparatus includes pixels each including a conversion unit. The conversion unit includes a first semiconductor region of a first conductivity type, a second semiconductor region of a second conductivity type, and a third semiconductor region of the first conductivity type in order from a light incident surface side, and includes an in-pixel separation portion of the second conductivity type. The second semiconductor region includes a first end and a second end opposing the first end. The conversion unit further includes a fourth semiconductor region between the first and second ends. The in-pixel separation portion separates the first semiconductor region into a first region overlapping the first end and a second region overlapping the second end in a top view from the light incident surface side. A concentration of a second conductivity type impurity is lower in the fourth semiconductor region than in the in-pixel separation portion.

Abstract: Vehicles and methods for augmenting rearview displays for vehicles are provided. An exemplary method is provided for augmenting a rearview display for a vehicle having a gate moveable between a closed configuration and an opened configuration. The method includes collecting dynamic pixel images of an area behind the vehicle using a camera connected to the vehicle. Further, the method includes, in response to a command, displaying graphical overlays to the collected dynamic pixel images on a display screen, via a processor, wherein the graphical overlays depict an outline of the gate and/or projected path of the gate in the opened configuration.
