    摘要: A hydraulic brake system comprises a pedal-actuated tandem generator cylinder (3), an auxiliary-pressure supply system with electromotively driven pump (8) and pressure fluid supply reservoir (31) and an auxiliary-pressure control valve (7, 67). The tandem generator cylinder (3) is provided with a bore (24) extending wherethrough is an actuating rod (25, 72) which acts upon a primary piston (4, 68) and whose end remote from the primary piston (4, 68) cooperates with an initial-pressure piston (16) or a vacuum brake power booster (84) slidably supported in the bore (24) and being in turn coupled with the brake pedal (19) by way of a piston rod (17, 86). An annular piston (26) is displaceably arranged in the bore (24) between the primary piston (4, 68) and the initial-pressure piston (16) or, respectively, the force-output member (74) of the booster (84). The annular piston subdivides the space between the primary piston (4, 68) and the initial-pressure piston (16 ) or the force-output member (74) into two chambers (59 and 44), the one thereof communicating with a feed tank (6) of the tandem generator cylinder (3), while the other one is connected to the pressure-fluid supply reservoir (31). The working chamber (44) accommodates an annular disc (29) comprising a ramp (30) which coacts with the contact pin (32) of an electric switch (33) which switches on the pump (8) when the initial-pressure piston (16) or the force-output member (74) has displaced the annular disc (29) in the actuating direction. An auxiliary cylinder (62), or the working chambers of the vacuum brake power booster (84) whereon the brake pedal (19) is acting, is connected to the auxiliary-pressure control valve (7, 67). The pressure in the auxiliary cylinder (62) or the pressure in the working chambers of the booster (84) controls the pressure of the pump (8) which communicates with the feed tank (6).

    摘要: A dual circuit foot valve for a compressed air braking system has a plunger (38) which acts through a spring (39) on a first piston (6) which carries an exhaust seat for a first double valve controlling the supply of pressure from an input port (27) to a first circuit delivery port (28), the delivered pressure at (28) acting beneath the piston (6) in a sense to cause lapping of the valve and also acting above a second piston (16) which similarly acts as a control piston for a further double valve controlling the supply of pressure from an input port (29) to a second circuit delivery port (30), a further spring 43 being carried within the piston 6 to be engageable with a projection (55) of the second piston (16) following operation of the plunger to act on the second piston to beneficially influence the differential between the two delivered pressures.

    摘要: Dual circuit pressure control valves for brake system are known in which the control pistons are located parallel to each other with each control piston controlling a different one of two brake circuits. Both control pistons are loaded by a common preloading force. The known arrangement is complicated in its construction and has a large overall length. According to the present invention, the construction is simplified and the overall length is reduced by providing a torsion spring which provides the preloading force acting on the control pistons via stationarily supported swivelling levers.

    摘要: A hydraulic control system, for at least one hydraulic braking circuit, comprising a control unit, a brake pedal, an assisting hydraulic pressure plant having a fluid pressure source and a reservoir, a distributor valve having a slide fitted movably in the control unit between a rest position, when the braking circuit connects with the reservoir, and an active position, when the braking circuit is pressurized. This slide is urged in one direction by the pedal and in the opposite direction by the pressure in the braking circuit. The slide moves only about a millimeter, and to give the driver a resonable pedal displacement, a first resilient device, in the form of either stepped parallel or in series helical springs or an elastomer block, is disposed between the pedal and slide. To avoid excessive braking except in a real emergency, a second resilient device, either a spring or the elastomer block, is disposed between the pedal and unit and is adapted to be actuated by the pedal for only a fraction of the pedal stroke at its end of travel, to warn the driver that the end of travel is being approached.

The regulator spring may be a plurality of staged springs (161,165) to provide different spring rates and an override (330) may be provided on the actuator plunger for selectively compressing the regulator spring in response to a pressurized fluid input.
