    摘要: A valve-arrangement is operable to switch between a bistable-valve (BV) behavior and a relay-valve (RV) behavior to control a parking-brake, and includes a housing with a supply-pressure-inlet (SPI), a service brake-control-inlet (SBCI) to provide a control-pressure, a pressure-outlet, and an exhaust-port, and includes a first-piston and a second-piston both movable along a same direction in the housing to define a first-chamber communicating with the SBCI, a second-chamber between the first-piston and the second-piston, and third chamber communicating with the pressure-outlet and with a controllable connection to the SPI, in which upon the control-pressure the second-piston moves with the first-piston to connect the pressure-outlet with the exhaust-port or with the SPI. The valve arrangement includes a throttle unit adapted, depending on the control-pressure, to connect the second-chamber with the third-chamber to enable the BV behavior or disconnect the second-chamber from the third-chamber to enable the RV behavior.

    摘要: A valve device for controlling pressure medium actuated brakes, particularly for railway vehicles, comprises a multi-stage valve to set one of a plurality of pressure stages. The valve has an axially displaceable stepped piston having a plurality of annular radial surfaces with a predetermined surface area ratio to each other. The surfaces are subjected to the action of pressure medium through control valves separately or in combination in accordance with a selected pressure stage. The piston controls a double valve connected between a source of pressure medium and the brake which is supplied with pressure medium or vented in response to position of the double valve. The radial surfaces of the piston are subjected to a selected stage pressure against a constant force that is independent of the control pressure such that this axially applied force is in balance with the force exerted by the pressure of the pressure medium against the radial surfaces at every braking stage.

    摘要: A pneumatic brake system is provided for tractor-trailer vehicles which permits air to be supplied to the trailer while both tractor and trailer brakes remain set when the rig is parked thereby permitting associated pneumatic devices to be operated with the rig braked. The system includes a park valve which, by itself, is operable to always set the tractor-trailer brakes when the vehicle is parked and release same when the vehicle is to be driven. A control valve is provided in the system which, when optionally operated, supplies air to the trailer while a series of automatically acting valves respond to the position of the control and park valves to maintain the tractor parking brakes and trailer service brakes set during trailer fill operation.

    摘要: A brake system for a vehicle having a brake adapted for energization in response to a spring setting pressure released actuator connected therewith is provided with a push-pull type control valve selectively operable to respectively apply the system''s service and emergency fluid pressure to said actuator to effect the de-energization of said brake and also to vent the fluid pressure applied to said actuator to the atmosphere to effect the spring set energization of said brake. The control valve is also provided with resiliently urged means automatically actuated in response to a predetermined low service fluid pressure to vent the fluid pressure applied to the actuator to the atmosphere while isolating both the service and emergency fluid pressures.

    摘要: A pressure modulating brake valve interposed between a fluid pressure accummulator and the brake line of a vehicle for selectively directing a volume of pressurized fluid to the vehicle brakes responsive to the application of the brake treadle, which urges a plunger to unseat a poppet valve located within the brake valve; the fluid pressure in the brake line also impinges against the plunger to offset the manual pressure exerted thereon and to permit the operator to feel the fluid pressure application. The brake valve also communicates the brake line with the vehicle main fluid reservoir, the plunger having a fluid bypass for permitting return flow when the fluid pressure in the brake line exceeds the manual pressure exerted on the brake treadle.
