Abstract: According to one aspect, a method includes applying a first force to a piston using an actuator that includes a displacement indication arrangement. The piston is part of a hydraulic braking system included in a vehicle. The hydraulic braking system includes fluid, wherein when the first force is applied to the piston, the piston moves. The method further includes determining when a pressure of the fluid reaches a target pressure, obtaining at least a first measurement of a displacement of the piston when the pressure of the fluid reaches the target pressure using the displacement indication arrangement, and determining when the at least first measurement of the displacement of the piston indicates an anomaly in the hydraulic braking system. When it is determined that the at least first measurement of the displacement of the piston indicates the anomaly, the anomaly in the hydraulic braking system is identified.

Abstract: A coil spring is interposed between a vehicle body and a suspension member which is elastically and swingably supported by the vehicle body and supports a wheel. The suspension member and a vehicle part attached to the vehicle body are connected by a fastening member. The orientation of the suspension member with respect to the vehicle body is forcibly changed so as to increase the distance between the vehicle body and the suspension member at a coil spring interposition portion. An excessive change in the orientation of the suspension member is restricted by the fastening member, and a coil spring is inserted between the vehicle body and the suspension member.

Abstract: A unitary (one-piece) construction of an electric vehicle chassis is provided having at least one s-bend aft of the front axle to allow battery packs to mount on isolators inside of the frame rails. The overall width of the frame (at the widest) is 4-6″ wider as compared to traditional (non-ev) vehicles. This increased width is provided for to accommodate the battery packs required for operation of the electric vehicle. The s-bend allows for front wheel steering angles greater than if rails were straight. In some embodiments, a second s-bend directs the frame again outwards to accommodate additional components and to increase strength of the overall frame. The present wide and s-bend configuration allows for mounting of rear springs underneath of the frame rails for extra support and more efficient and improved packaging. The cross member further allows for front spring mounting to the frame.

Abstract: A bearing arrangement for a damper bearing of a shock absorber in a wheelhouse of a vehicle. A damper receptacle is formed in a wheelhouse sheet metal part delimiting the wheelhouse.
