    摘要： A method for wrapping coiled material which includes the selection of a tear-resistant bag having openings at either end and drawstrings near each opening. A roll of steel is lifted, e.g., by a forklift, and the bag is slipped over the roll of steel. The excess material of the bag is then folded over so that the bag tightly fits the steel roll. The strings are then drawn tightly, pulling the bag radially over the steel roll such that the ends of the bag overlaps the aperture of the core of the roll. The overlapping portions of the bag are folded inside of the core of the coiled material and inner diameter protectors are placed in the core to secure the bag.

    摘要： A package (10) for packaging a food product is made from a sheet (12) of foldable material. The sheet (12) defines a base area on which a food product (14) may be positioned and three or more side wall regions (20) about the base area that are folded upwardly and inwardly to form a parcel for surrounding and containing a product positioned on the base area. The side wall regions (20) converge towards a point located substantially centrally above the base area and an external fin seal (24) is provided between each adjacent pair of side wall regions. The fin seals (24) may be formed by bonding at least part of the opposing inner surfaces of the material forming each fin seal together using a peelable adhesive.

    摘要： A packing for a flat, rectangular product includes a wrapper sheet surrounding the product at its large faces to form a sleeve which has face-to-face arranged end portions sealed together adjacent a longitudinal packing edge to form a fin seal. The end portions form, beyond the fin seal, an inner and an outer longitudinal panel. The wrapper sheet further has two opposite end closure flaps folded, from opposite longitudinal ends of the product, onto the sleeve on one of the large faces of the product, and the panels are folded onto the sleeve on the large face. The outer panel projects beyond the inner panel and covers the end closure flaps. A securing arrangement attaches the outer panel to the sleeve on the large face of the product.

    摘要： A package for frozen dairy desserts and a method of manufacture of the package are provided. The package is prepared from a sheet of metal foil. The sheet of metal foil has a pocket formed therein which includes extra sheet material and causes an irregular surface inside the package. The shape of the package establishes the shape desired in a finished frozen dairy dessert in a fluid or semifluid condition and the dairy dessert is hardened. The dairy dessert is then readily released from the package by pulling opposite edge portions of the pocket.
