Abstract:
In a method for feeding out the primary web of a mineral wool web by means of a pendulum conveyor and to an arrangement of such a pendulum conveyor, an output is fed as close to the receiving conveyor as possible for the primary web to be rapidly fixed onto the underlying web. The conducting rollers at the output end, which rotate in the output direction, have a disturbing effect on such a close output. The front conducting roller in the direction of motion rotates in a direction having a lifting effect on the underlying web, which is negative, whereas the rear conducting roller rotates in a direction pressing down the web being fed out, which is advantageous for the output. Both conveyors of the pendulum conveyor are made vertically movable with regard to each other, the front conducting roller being situated higher and the rear conducting roller lower during the pendulum swing. The reversing mainly takes place in the end position of the pendulum swing. The reversing may take place momentarily or gradually during the entire pendulum motion.
Abstract:
A continuous strip of mutually adjacent information-bearing panels are joined together by hinge means, each of which comprises a series of hinge openings and hinge sections. The relative positions of the hinge sections and openings of one hinge means are so positioned in relation to the hinge sections and openings of a further hinge means as to enable the strip to be folded in a bundle or part bundle form, so that a selected panel can be brought to the top of the bundle or part bundle, with the hinge sections of a respective hinge means lying within the confines of the openings of the remaining hinge means.
Abstract:
A sheet processing apparatus includes: an output unit that renders one side of a sheet convex and outputs the sheet, the sheet having the one side and other side; a first folding unit that mountain-folds the one side of the sheet, which is rendered to be convex, to form a first fold in the sheet; and a second folding unit that mountain-folds the one side of the sheet, which includes the first fold formed therein, to form a second fold in the sheet.
Abstract:
A process for the production of books (22) with digital printing from signatures, in which the book comprises signature groups (33), each formed with basic sheets (34), are parts of respective signature sheets (42). The process employs a manufacturing system (21) which includes a transversal cutting equipment (41) for cutting transversally the signatures sheets, and transversal and longitudinal folding equipment (46) for the formation of respective signatures (48). For a book with at least a sheet section devoid of text and/or figures in a last signature group, the method provides: a) identify a reduced signature group (59) including a number of sheet sections having at least a page with text and/or figures; b) cut the paper strip (23) to separate the reduced signature group as reduced signature group; c) actuate the transversal folding equipment (46) limited to the sheet sections having at least a page with text and/or figures and skipping the actuation of the transversal folding equipment (46) for a single sheet section; and d) actuate the longitudinal folding equipment (47) for folding longitudinally the reduced signature group.

Abstract:
A winding and cutting machine for rolled paper provided with a roller shaft holding a roll from an inner side, a feeding roller and a feeding aid roller to hold and pull the paper for a predetermined length, and a fixed cutting blade disposed between the feeding roller and a winding rotational body which is constructed as to press the paper to the fixed cutting blade into the predetermined length by winding the paper and giving tensile force to the paper.
Abstract:
In packaging machines with an integrated apparatus for the production, storage and conveyance of blanks, the arrangement of the apparatus within the packaging machine is important. It is necessary to ensure that free unimpeded access to the units is possible. On the other hand, the actual operation of the packaging machine should not be impaired. For this purpose, a web of material (16) for the production of the blanks (13) and in the form of a wound reel (17), a conveying track (18) for the web of material (16), a severing station (19) for forming the blanks (13) and a blank track (26) for feeding the blanks (13) to a folding turret (10) are arranged on the rear side (25) of the packaging machine. The conveying track (18) for the web of material (16) extends parallel to the longitudinal mid-plane of the packaging machine. The blank track (26) follows this transversely.
Abstract:
The image forming apparatus includes: an image processor; an image forming portion for forming images on recording paper based on the image data output from the image processor; a folding mechanism for folding the recording paper with images formed by the image forming portion when the input image information is confidential image information; and a stapling mechanism for binding the recording paper folded by the folding mechanism, at the end part when the input image information is confidential image information. When the input image information is confidential image information, the image forming portion outputs the pouch-binding image data for a pouch-bound image to be formed on the facing pages of the recording paper that is folded by the folding mechanism, by editing the layout of the confidential image.
Abstract:
A stacking device for pre-folded endless paper web in a paper stacker is provided with a stationary stack support or deposit surface and a piler means disposed for movement over the deposit surface for receiving and folding the paper web along its crease lines in zig-zag layers on the paper stack. The invention offers the advantage that the movable elements of the paper stacker have significantly lighter and constant masses, so that the inventive structure may be made less expensively than conventional, known paper stacker arrangements. Between the feed roll means delivering the paper web into the stacker and the relatively movable piler, there is provided a guidance means for conducting the paper web in non-collapsing fashion downwardly within the stacker to the piler. The guidance means is constructed so as to automatically vary in length in accordance with the changing working height of the piler during stacking operation. The guidance means may be in the form of a plurality of synthetic bands provided along opposed sides of the paper web wherein the bands are connected at their upper ends to automatic tensioning means which maintain the bands under tension and allow the bands to lengthen or contract in accordance with the relative movement of the piler.
