摘要: Methods for the use of treatment fluids that include thermally responsive viscosifiers in subterranean formations are provided. In one embodiment, the methods include introducing a treatment fluid including an aqueous base fluid and a thermally responsive hydrogel including at least one thermoresponsive polymer into at least a portion of a subterranean formation; allowing the thermally responsive hydrogel to reach a thickening transition temperature, wherein the thermally responsive hydrogel undergoes a liquid-to-solid phase change at or above the thickening transition temperature; and allowing the treatment fluid to at least partially solidify in the subterranean formation, wherein the solid thermally responsive hydrogel is present in the treatment fluid in an amount from about 0.01 to about 0.2 by volume fraction of solids of the treatment fluid.

摘要: A lost circulation material (LCM) that includes chips formed from date palm seeds. The date palm seed-based chip LCM includes chips having lengths in the range of greater than 2.38 millimeters (mm) to less than 6.73 mm. Method of manufacturing the date palm seed-based chip LCM include washing and drying whole date tree seeds, such that the drying includes air-drying, hot rolling, and cooling. Methods of reducing lost circulation are also provided.

摘要: A lost circulation material (LCM) having date fruit caps is provided. The date fruit cap LCM includes date fruit caps from a date tree. The date fruit caps have multiple flakes (for example, three flakes) attached at one end to an end cap and free at the other end. The date fruit caps may be obtained from the waste product of date tree and date fruit processing. The date fruit cap LCM may be added to a drilling fluid (for example, a drilling mud) to mitigate or prevent such lost circulation in a well. Methods of lost circulation control with the date fruit cap LCM are also provided.

摘要: The present invention relates to an aqueous solution for drilling wells in low-gradient formations and is made up of products from three chemical families, namely a high molecular weight polymer mixture, an inhibitor, and an amine mixture. The solution is mixed with a seawater liquid base. The solution substitutes invert emulsion and was designed to control swelling, dispersion, and migration of fine colloidal materials, and the fluid can drill high pressure gradient intervals and be formulated to resolve any challenge presented by the formation. The system with the solution is environmentally-friendly and complies with the required main functions of the drilling fluids while also providing a high inhibition control by swelling and dispersion of clay zones, due to the polymeric nature of the materials with which it is formulated.

摘要: A wellbore fluid includes an aqueous fluid, a viscosifer, a stabilizer agent, and a lubricant. The aqueous fluid is an inhibitive divalent fluid. A method of preparing the divalent wellbore fluid includes are provided or formulated, methods produce the divalent wellbore fluids, and methods inject or circulate the inhibitive divalent wellbore fluids into a wellbore or borehole provided in a formation and/or into a reservoir of the formation.
